Chelsea defeated Manchester United 4-3 at home in their last league match to extend their unbeaten streak to six (Wins 3 Draws 3 Losses 0), putting them in 10th place on 43 points. The Blues have scored 53 goals and conceded 50 through 29 matches, leaving them trailing fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur by 14 points for a spot in the Europa League.
Sheffield United vs Chelsea Tips
After a truly remarkable finish to the game between Chelsea and Manchester United on Thursday evening, we are backing Cole Palmer to continue his excellent goal scoring form and find the net against the worst defence in the division based on goals conceded.
Palmer scored a hat-trick against The Red Devils with his final two goals coming in the 110th and 111th minute. Those goals mean that the former Manchester City man has managed 19 goals since making the switch to Chelsea, with 16 of those coming in the Premier League. Palmer is averaging a healthy 3.1 shots per game this term and he can find more joy against a Sheffield United side that have just become the first team since Derby County in 2008 to concede 50 goals at home in all competitions.
At 8/1 we are also backing Ben Brereton to record Over 0.5 Shots on target and Conor Gallagher to be carded. Stoke-born Chilean Brerteton Diaz has put in some impressive performances since his loan move to South Yorkshire in January. Brereton already has four goals for his new employers and when it comes to hitting the target he has done so in five of his last six matches.
Paired with Brereton to hit the target is card-magnet Conor Gallagher to find his way into the book. Last season, Gallagher collected nine yellow and one red in his first full season with The Blues. This time round he has six cautions and one dismissal in the top-flight, however he has the highest fouls conceded average of any player in the division, giving away 2.2 per game over the course of this campaign.
