Sevilla vs Lens Tips
Sevilla To Win
The first bet we are recommending from the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan stadium is for the hosts to collect three points. At the time of writing, BetUK are the best priced bookmaker, with 23/25 on show, implying a 52% chance of success.
Sevilla have had a shaky start to the new season, failing to win any of their first three league matches. They put that run to an end however last weekend when seeing off Las Palmas 1-0 and can build on that with another win here.
Lens have had a horrific start to their latest Ligue 1 campaign in France and have conceded more goals than any other side in the division across their first five matches. Franck Haise’s side have lost two of their best players this summer in Seko Fofana and Louis Openda and have taken just one point from a possible 15 so far this term.
Lens sit bottom of the Ligue 1 table and although we don't think this game with Sevilla will be a thriller, the hosts have the European experience to edge this one in a narrow victory.
Sergio Ramos to be Carded
Sergio Ramos’ arrival in Andalucia is a timely one with the centre-back starting his second stint at the club he last played for in 2005. Jose Luis Mendilibar will be without central defenders Marcao and Tanguy Nianzou both sidelined through injury, Ramos should slot straight into the starting XI.
No player has been shown more cards in the history of the Champions League than Sergio Ramos with 43 in 137 appearances in the competition. With that in mind 17/4 looks a cracking price with Unibet, considering how he will want to make his mark straight away in his new team.
Despite Ramos’ colourful disciplinary this is also a bit of a price-play, with most other betting sites going considerably shorter. Paddy Power go 2/1, while bet365 have chalked him up at 12/5, giving plenty of appeal to the 17/4 showing that is available with Unibet.
