Saturday Football Tips: Back Costa to be carded in 63/1 Acca

Just five Premier League games take place on Saturday with no lunchtime kick-off featuring in Gameweek 10. Here at BettingOdds.com we’ve put together some of our best fancies and have combined them into an accumulator which pays 63/1 with bet365.
It’s three players to be carded that we have focussed our attention on this week, so we’ll be advising a trixie, meaning it will be profit should two of the three selections land.
Acca Tips
First up this weekend we are targeting Diego Costa to find his way into the book as he returns to the home of his former employers Chelsea. Wolves have a load of injuries in the attacking department with Pedro Neto, Raul Jimenez and Hwang Hee-Chan all confirmed absentees for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
This therefore means that Costa should be handed his first start of the campaign and looking back at his disciplinary record during his time at Chelsea he was shown 26 cards in 89 appearances. The Spaniard was also sent off twice during his time with Atletico Madrid, picking up 15 yellow cards in just 41 La Liga starts. The stage looks set for Costa to play a big part on Saturday and we’ll be hoping he can find his way into the book to kick off our acca.
Next up we are off to the North East where Newcastle take on Brentford. The Magpies put four past Fulham last weekend, grabbing themselves their first win since the opening day of the season, despite losing just one game so far this term.
Joelinton is the player we are backing here and he already has three yellow cards to his name this campaign. Last season, Joelinton was cautioned on eight occasions, which translates to 11 yellows in his last 36 league appearances. Only Gabriel Jesus has committed more fouls this season than the Brazilian, and it’s also worth noting that seven of his last 10 yellows have been shown at St James’ Park.
Rounding off this trio is Adam Smith of Bournemouth. The Cherries defender was shown four yellow cards in his first four matches after his side returned to the Premier League this season, with only Fulham’s Joao Paliniha and Ruben Neves of Wolves having collected more this term with five.
The defender is currently averaging 1.3 fouls per game this season and if we go back a little further he was actually carded six times in 20 appearances in the Championship in 2021/2022. Since the start of last season, Smith has been shown 10 cards in just 28 league appearances and with this in mind we are happy to include him in our trixie in what looks a tricky game against a rejuvenated Leicester.
