Sampdoria vs. AC Milan Betting Tips: Two tips as the champions return to Serie A action
Sampdoria vs AC Milan odds
The Serie A Champions return to league action this weekend, after a disappointing midweek Champions League draw away at Salzburg.
Sampdoria vs Milan Tips
Milan currently sit third in the table, after three wins and two draws from their opening five games. That included a stunning comeback win against city rivals Inter last weekend, beating them 3-2. Rafa Leao continues to go from strength to strength, scoring twice and assisting during their derby win, with Olivier Giroud also scoring twice in the league so far.
Sampdoria are still yet to win in the league this season, drawing two and losing three of their opening five games. The draws coming against Juventus and Lazio has shown that they can still mix it with the big boys when needed, but they face a tough task on Saturday night, shown by their 6/1 odds, with Milan at 1/2.
As ever, we’ve picked out two tips for the game, as explained below.
Starting off, we’re looking at Milan to keep up their unbeaten record, and beat Sampdoria to nil. Two of Sampdoria’s three losses have been to nil this season, losing on the opening day 2-0 to Atalanta, and then a thumping 4-0 loss at Salernitana.
Only one of Milan’s wins this season have been to nil, but the 15 places separating the sides in the table should clearly show the gulf in class here. Another point of note for this game is that last season Milan won both games against Sampdoria by a goal to nil, and we should expect similar this time round.
Moving onto Leao to score anytime, this bet landed the last time that he faced Sampdoria, scoring in their 1-0 win in February. As previously mentioned, Leao had a fantastic game against Inter, scoring twice and setting up the other.
Leao is coming into this season off the back of a superb campaign, where he scored 11 goals and assisted 10, leading to interest all around Europe. There are only four players in Serie A who have scored more goals than the forward, and that form should see him score on Saturday night.
