Said Benrahma next club odds: Chelsea favourites to capture the flying Brentford winger this summer

Plenty of talk continues to surround the future of Brentford winger Said Benrahama this summer, with a number of Premier League sides reportedly interested in clinching the 25-year-old’s signature ahead of the 2020-21 campaign kicking off in September.
The Algerian was a standout performer for the Bees last term, contributing 17 goals and 10 assists for the west London outfit as they went closer than they’ve ever been to obtaining promotion.
Thomas Frank’s side flirted with a top-two finish all season long but fell at the final hurdle when they lost to Barnsley on the final day, which saw them thrown into the unpredictability of the play-offs, where they ended up being beaten by rivals Fulham in the final.
Promotion to the top-flight would have probably meant that Brentford would have been able to retain star assets such as Benrahma and striker Ollie Watkins, but with another season in the Championship to contend with it now looks likely that they will both depart for a fresh challenge elsewhere.
Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Leeds and Leicester have all been credited with firm interest in front man Watkins, though it is Aston Villa who currently head up the betting as 10/11 favourites to land the 24-year-old.
Villa are also being linked with Watkins’ teammate Benrahma, priced as second-favourites at odds of 5/2 with William Hill.
Dean Smith’s side escaped relegation to the Championship on the final day of the campaign and will be hoping that they don’t go through another season tirelessly battling the drop.
Strength is certainly needed at Villa Park if they are to enjoy a less stressful campaign this time around, and adding a player of Benrahma’s quality would certainly help them out in the goalscoring department.
Indeed, ahead of the West Midlands club in the market is Chelsea.
The Blues are favourites to land the Brentford wide man according to William Hill, priced at 9/4 in the betting.
Chelsea have already secured the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, however, alongside having the likes of Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic in the attacking-midfield department, which suggests that if Benrahma did make the switch to Stamford Bridge he would be more of a rotational squad player rather than a first-team regular.
Newly-promoted Leeds are third-favourites at 4/1 to capture the former Nice forward, as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of their first season back in the Premier League since 2003-04, alongside Tottenham (also 4/1).
Arsenal can be found at 6/1 to sign Benrahma, while West Ham are 7/1, and a switch across the Chanel to France with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain is 16/1 as things stand.
