Rotherham vs. Blackburn Betting Tips: Back drawless Rovers to win to Nil

There is live Championship action on Sky Sports this Saturday lunchtime as Blackburn Rovers travel across the pennines to take on Rotherham. We’ve asked our man Anthony Eadson to provide us with his best bets for the game from the New York Stadium.
The Millers find themselves just one place and one point above the Championship relegation zone heading into the weekend. Rotherham are yet to taste victory in all competitions since returning from the World Cup break with their latest defeat coming in the FA Cup when losing 4-1 on the road at League One Ipswich.
Blackburn on the other hand currently occupy third in the standings and remarkably are still yet to draw after playing 26 matches! Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side have accumulated 42 points so far this campaign but with a nine point gap between Rovers and Sheffield United in second, promotion via the play-offs is looking like a more realistic target than the automatic spots.
Rovers have struggled for consistency of late and Rotherham have put in some alarming performances and off the back of that the bookmakers have instilled the visitors as the 23/20 favourites to take the three points. The draw is available at 12/5, with a win for Rotherham also the same price with bet365.
Rotherham vs Blackburn Tips
Winning rather than drawing games has been very beneficial for Blackburn this season in terms of league position but with a good performance often followed by a bad one it has left many fans like myself scratching my head and wondering if Tomasson’s side are really capable of a promotion-push.
That being said, since the turn of the year, Rovers have put in two better performances, first seeing off Cardiff 1-0 at Ewood Park before a second win at Carrow Road in three weeks against Norwich saw them through to the FA Cup fourth round thanks to a goal from Jack Vale.
Rovers look a little short in the match result market at just above even money and I’m therefore recommending them to win to Nil at a current best price of 13/5 with Paddy Power.
Rotherham are winless in six Championship games (L4 D2) and all of the last five victories for Blackburn in all competitions have featured a clean sheet. Rovers have won 14 league games this campaign, 10 have been to Nil.
I also like the look of Sam Gallagher to be carded in the match, which is best priced at 17/4 with BetVictor at the time of writing. In his last 26 league matches for Rovers, Gallagher has been shown seven yellow cards, although it’s interesting to see how many of those have come away from Ewood Park.
Gallagher’s disciplinary record on the road reads five cautions in his last 13 outings and with this in mind quotes of 17/4 look backable here.
