Report: North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham linked with most players from Euro 2020

The European Championships presents an opportunity for players across the continent to attract potential suitors and the team at BettingOdds.com have conducted a study to discover which players who participated in the competition were linked with the most clubs as the competition progressed. 

246 of the 623 players who were involved in squads at Euro 2020 had been linked with a transfer during the tournament.

Mikkel Damsgaard, the Denmark and Sampdoria winger, was found to be the player linked with the most clubs during Euro 2020. Damsgaard was linked with nine different clubs, one more than Wales’ Harry Wilson and Portugal’s João Palhinha.

We’ve also discovered which teams were linked with most players during Euro 2020 and it’s been found that North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham were both linked with 37 players each. Manchester United (34), Chelsea (30) and Real Madrid (29) make up the top five.

The research was conducted via online publications both domestic and abroad, with thorough searches being undertaken for transfer speculation for every player who’s been involved at Euro 2020. 

The results of the study can be found below and have been broken down into 4 categories, which include: 

• Players at Euro 2020 who were linked with the most clubs during the competition
• Clubs who were linked with the most players that participated at Euro 2020
• Premier League clubs who were linked with the most players that participated at Euro 2020
• Squads at Euro 2020 that had the most players linked with a transfer

For a transfer rumour to have been included in the study, it would’ve had to have been published at any point during Euro 2020 (11th June-11th July).
