Arsenal take on Bayern Munich at The Emirates, while Manchester City travel to the Spanish capital to take on Real Madrid. It’s a repeat of last season’s Champions League semi-final final as Real Madrid take on Manchester City in the last-eight. Los Blancos are unbeaten in home matches in this competition since the start of the campaign, which extends to a 26-game unbeaten streak in front of their own fans across all formats. Rodri Over 0.5 Shots on Target
Regular readers of my ramblings will be aware that I recommended Rodri to record at least one shot on target against Crystal Palace last Saturday, for which he truly obliged in the first 15 minutes of the match.
The price on show on Saturday was 5/4 and I’m willing to take the higher offering of 6/4 that is available for this latest game, with bookmaker Parimatch. In the Premier League, Rodri has hit the target in 9 of his last 12 away matches. The 27-year-old has scored more goals this season than he has any other campaign with 9 across all formats and with other bookmakers such as William Hill pricing this same selection considerably shorter at 21/20, I feel we are taking a price that represents plenty of value.
Vinicius Junior to Score and be carded
For those looking for something at a larger price I really like the look of Vinicius Junior to score and be carded at just under 14/1 with bet365. The Brazilian is in great form at the moment having bagged six goals in his last four matches for Real Madrid, including in the round of 16 second leg against Red Bull Leipzig.
Across all competitions this season, Vinicius has collected eight yellow cards. This bet of him to score and be carded has landed in all of his last four matches and with a card-happy referee in Francois Letexier taking the whistle, I expect a high card-count as both teams look to keep their second leg hopes alive.
