Betting Stories: Punter in dreamland following audacious Bet Builder triumph

As part of our weekly Betting Stories feature, we look back at the weekend’s punting and pick out the best winner from all of the footballing action, or analyse the most painstakingly near miss…
One hugely fortunate punter found himself in dreamland this weekend after scooping an eye-watering return from a £5 stake.
Aaron Ross Milligan (@AaronRossMilli1) placed an audacious Bet Builder double on Sunday’s games between Hibernian & Rangers and Southampton & Tottenham, in it backing a total of four different players to be booked; two different players to score anytime and both teams to find the net at St Mary’s - scooping a huge £19,880 when each selection came in.
The bet365 customer backed Paul McGinn and Paul Hanlon to be booked up in Scotland, alongside Scott Arfield to score anytime during Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Hibs at Easter Road - a bet which was priced up at a huge 70/1 on its own!
Not content with just that, though, he doubled it up with another outlandish longshot for the Southampton match, which included Harry Kane to score anytime; Oriol Romeu and Matt Doherty to be booked and the game to end with a BTTS scoreline, priced up at 55/1 by 365.
With half of the bet landing in the first half thanks to a fifth-minute booking for Romeu, and both Ings and Son scoring for their team, belief would have been building for the punter who must have been riddled with nerves heading into the second half.
When Doherty found his way into the ref’s notebook in the 79th minute all that was needed was a Kane goal to settle the bet as a winner. Three minutes later and it was all wrapped up, as the Spurs skipper prodded home from close-range after the ball bounced aimlessly off of the woodwork and into his path; what a feeling that must have been.
Congratulations in order from all of us at BettingOdds.com, what an unbelievable bit of punting.
