PSG vs. Bayern Munich Betting Tips: Jamal Musiala tipped to shine in Champions League clash
The Champions League is back! On Tuesday, Bayern Munich head to Paris in what is set to be a mouthwatering clash between two clubs full of talent (8pm, BT Sport).
The German giants are strong favourites to qualify but if Christophe Galtier can get his three frontmen fit and firing, then anything can happen.
Tom Winch has identified two betting angles in his preview piece below...
PSG arrive here after back-to-back losses which is a rarity given the strength of their squad, although a certain Kylian Mbappe was absent for each of those matches.
The-24-year-old is a doubt for the opening leg which will be a massive setback for the French club.
Bayern are second favourites to win the Champions League, they have all the experience and more to do so.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side have tasted defeat just once this season and are currently on a 19-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.
Bayern won all six games in the group, which featured Inter and Barcelona, and have not lost a last-16 knockout away game in over a decade.
PSG vs Bayern Munich Tips
I’m keen on Bayern here, on their day they can beat anyone and I believe you can have more trust in them in comparison to PSG.
They don’t have any new injury concerns so they’ll come here confident especially with the French side losing four of their nine games since the return.
Nagelsmann’s side create chances for fun, they’ve scored in every game this season with the exception coming in that defeat back in September.
Meanwhile, PSG have kept just a single shutout in nine which will be a huge concern.
The pressure is firmly on the hosts, winning the Champions League is a must given the money that has been spent within the club.
Jamal Musiala has had a cracking season for the Bundesliga leaders, the 19-year-old has registered 17 goal contributions in 19 league games this season which includes all of his three previous matches.
Despite playing only 223 minutes in the group stage, the youngster registered two assists with one of those coming against Barcelona.
I’m expecting the attacker to start in a central position and get at least 70 minutes of game time in the French capital.
No Bayern player has been involved in more goals than Musiala this campaign, we all know how good he is even at a young age and he can quite easily make the difference on the night.
Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller and Serge Gnabry are all priced shorter in this market so backing Musiala does appeal.
