PSG welcome AC Milan to the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening as the pair face off in Group F of the Champions League. We’ve made a case for two tips for the game which you can read all about below.
After their 4-1 defeat to Newcastle on Matchday 2, Luis Enrique will be looking for a response from his players who were somewhat overwhelmed by the intensity of the atmosphere at St James’ Park.
They face a Milan side who are yet to score in the Champions League this season despite letting off 39 shots across their two fixtures. Only Manchester City (55) and Real Madrid (50) have managed more shots in the group stage so far, yet the Rossoneri remain without a win.
PSG are favourites to collect the three points, priced at 8/11 with most betting sites to do so. The draw can be sided with at 14/5, while a huge away win for the Italians can be backed at 15/4.
PSG vs AC Milan Tips
PSG look a little short here in the match result market at just 8/11, so for our main play of the evening we are siding with Under 2.5 goals to be scored in the match. At the time of writing, bet365 are the best-priced bookmakers for this selection, with odds of 23/20 implying a 46.5% chance of this bet clicking.
Luis Enrique’s men have kept a keep sheet in four of their last six matches across all competitions including in their only home Champions League game so far this term, when shutting out Dortmund in a 2-0 victory.
AC Milan have seen both of their Group F matches finish goalless after stalemates at home to Newcastle and on the road at Borussia Dortmund. Stefano Pioli’s side have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four matches and have seen Under 2.5 goals feature in six of their last seven across all competitions. All things considered, we are surprised to see an odds-against offering of 23/20 on show for a repeat here.
Theo Hernandez missed the 1-0 defeat at home to Juventus on Sunday due to a domestic suspension, but he should return for this European clash in his usual role at left-back.
The Frenchman racked up seven yellows in Serie A last season along with a further two in the Champions League. In the latest campaign, Hernandez has already collected five yellow cards in just seven league matches - the most of any player in Serie A.
We like the look of the 26-year-old to be carded in Paris, with this angle also being bolstered by the fact Achraf Hakimi will be bombing forward down the right for the hosts. Hakimi already has four goals to his name this season despite being a defender, and Hernandez should have has work cut out taking care of him and Ousmane Dembele.
