Preston vs. Huddersfield Predictions: Honours even at Deepdale

Wednesday night sees seven more games played in the Championship and we have asked @OddsTerrier to look at the match taking place at Deepdale between 11th placed Preston North End and 5th placed Huddersfield Town. He has analysed the stats and form book and selected two bets for you to look over.
The last time Huddersfield won at Deepdale, Elvis Presley had just been number one with Suspicious Minds, Harold Wilson was Prime Minister and Leeds United were the reigning English league champions. Town won 3-1 in front of a crowd of 12,750 thanks to a certain Frank Worthington, who scored a brace on the night. That was more than 52 years ago and since then The Terriers haven't taken three points from Preston once. Carlos Corberan and his men will attempt to break that hoodoo on Wednesday night in front of the Sky TV cameras. He will be without right back Pipa who was injured against Barnsley in the FA Cup at the weekend. Joining him will be long term injured players Rolando Aarons and Alex Vallejo, whilst Levi Colwill is still recovering from an ankle injury.
Preston are without three first first team players in Izzy Brown, Josh Murphy and Tom Barkhuizen but Ryan Lowe still has a strong squad at his disposal to select from.
North End lead the betting at 13/10, the draw is around 9/4 and Town are best priced 13/5.
Preston vs. Huddersfield Tips
Preston are in decent form since Ryan Lowe took over at the managerial reins; winning four and drawing four of their last nine in the league. The Terriers are in even better form - unbeaten in ten for the first time in the second tier since 1965. So can they finally break two 50+ year streaks?
In a word, No. I'm backing this one to end in a draw between two decent teams. Town have drawn five of their last ten and Preston have drawn four of their last seven.
Secondly I'm looking at a player prop based around 23-year-old Danish striker Emil Riis Jakobsen. Jakobsen looked like a fairly non-descript signing when he was picked up from Randers for around £1m back in October 2020. After netting just twice in 30 games in 2020/21, he has now moved on to a different level; scoring 16 goals in all competitions this campaign. I've combined the anytime goal scorer bet with Jakobsen to be carded. He is averaging almost one foul per game (third most for the club) and has picked up four yellow cards this season.
The two bets combined pay 17/1 at bet365 and i'm happy to place a small stake on it.
If you like either of these selections tonight then please gamble responsibly.
