Premier League Top Scorer Tips and Prediction 2024/25: Best each-way bets including a 100/1 longshot
The 2024/25 Premier League season is almost upon us and we’ve asked Anthony Eadson to provide us with his top scorer tips for the campaign ahead. Most bookmakers offer four places each-way at 1/4 odds and after successfully picking out a 200/1 place with Dominic Solanke last season, check out who is on the radar this term.
Erling Haaland is the odds-on favourite at just 4/6, which is a price I’m happy to leave alone. The Norwegian looks set for a third Golden Boot in a row, however a 100/1 shot has placed in the Premier League Top Goalscorer market in 13 of the past 22 seasons, and I think the value could lie away from the Manchester City forward.

Alexander Isak 16/1 each-way bet365
I fancy Newcastle to go well and improve on their seventh place that they managed last season. The Magpies should also benefit from not playing in any European competition and they start the campaign with a home fixture against newly promoted Southampton.
Alexander Isak managed a healthy 21 league goals last season across 27 starts and three substitute appearances. The Swede has established himself as the number one striker ahead of Callum Wilson and I think he can improve on his tally from last season. At 16/1 with bet365, he looks a solid price and should be waiting in the wings to scoop the award should anything happen to Erling Haaland.

Son Heung-min - 33/1 each-way bet365
Son Heung-min is a former Premier League golden boot winner and can rack up the goals in a free-scoring Spurs side under Ange Postecoglou. The South Korean was just two goals off a place in this market last season after netting 17 top-flight goals in a campaign that saw him miss a few matches due to representing his national side in the Asia Cup. Son should also remain on penalty duty despite the arrival of Dominic Solanke and I think he should be a shade shorter than the 33/1 that is available with bet365.

Bukayo Saka - 40/1 each-way Paddy Power
Arsenal ran Manchester City incredibly close last season and plenty of punters believe this could well be their time to claim their first league title in 20 years. Bukayo Saka has improved his goal-tally for The Gunners in every season at the club, with his totals from the last 3 campaigns reading: 11 & 14 and 16. If that progression continues I see no reason why Saka can’t creep into the top-four scorers this time round and collect some place money at 40/1.

Joao Pedro - 100/1 each-way BetVictor
Brighton were hampered by injuries last season in what was a difficult campaign for the Seagulls. Mitoma, Estupinan and other key players will return and despite some uncertainty around their new manager, I think they will have a really good season and again their league form should benefit from not being in Europe.
Joao Pedro is still only 22 and he managed six goals in six Europa League matches last season for Brighton. The Brazilian only started 19 Premier League games in 2023/24 and I think that figure should rise in this latest renewal. Joao Pedro still managed 9 league goals and had an impressive average of 3.3 shots per game. I think there’s scope for his figures to rise this time round, and with him also being a penalty taker, I think 100/1 looks generous.
