The new 2025/26 Premier League season is rapidly approaching with the action kicking off on Friday 15th August at the home of defending champions Liverpool, who host Bournemouth at Anfield.

Liverpool have been installed as the early favourites to win back-to-back titles for the first time in the Premier League era, having last achieved this feat in the early 1980s with a hat-trick of triumphs. At the time of writing, they are the best-priced 2/1 with bet365.

Their last title defence didn’t quite go to plan - finishing 3rd and 17 points behind Man City in 2020/21 - but there’s already renewed optimism at Anfield. Arsenal fans will need no reminding that it's been a staggering 21 years since their club last won the Premier League title. The Gunners have been handed early odds of 5/2 to finally end this lengthy drought in 2025/26.

Arsenal finished as the Premier League bridesmaids for the third straight season and Mikel Arteta will no doubt be frustrated by his team's inability to capitalise on Liverpool’s rare slip-ups this season.

By far the biggest move in the betting has been Chelsea, whose title odds have been slashed from 20/1 to 8/1 following their Club World Cup triumph.

The Blues stunned favourites PSG with a 3-0 win in the final, delivering a statement performance in front of a global audience. Manager Enzo Maresca masterminded the result with a tactical display that saw Cole Palmer score twice, while new signing Joao Pedro also found the net.
