Premier League 2023/24 Top Goalscorer Odds: Haaland, Kane and Salah head the Golden Boot betting

The new top-flight season begins on Friday 11th August and today at BettingOdds.com we’ve taken a look at the Premier League top scorer odds for the 2023/24 campaign.
Erling Haaland: 8/11
After Erling Haaland’s blank in the Community Shield 12 months ago, some people questioned if he would be able to cut it in the best league on the planet. The Norwegian giant went on to prove his doubters wrong with a remarkable 36 goals, breaking the record for a standard 38-game season. This time round, the bookmakers are taking no chances with Haaland odds-on at 8/11 to win back-to-back awards.
Harry Kane: 7/1
The future of Harry Kane remains uncertain with the Spurs talisman priced at 4/9 to be playing for Tottenham on 4th September and 2/1 to be playing for Bayern Munich. Kane has won this award on four occasions and last term managed a sensational 30 goals. Under Ange Postecoglou, Spurs may play a more attacking brand of football and for those who are confident Kane will stay, it may well be worth taking a punt on the 7/1 showing.
Mo Salah: 8/1
Liverpool’s Egyptian king scored 30 goals in all competitions in 2022/23 with 19 of those coming in the league. In the season ahead, Salah will miss some games for Liverpool due to AFCON, but he remains a prolific top-flight scorer and can be backed at 8/1.
Darwin Nunez: 16/1
Darwin Nunez has attracted some attention in the top scorer market over the last few weeks, being clipped into 16/1 after being 20/1 with one firm back in June. A reason for that may be that Nunez massively underperformed last season, scoring just 9 goals, but amassing an xG total of 13.83. Nunez missed plenty of chances in his debut campaign, but if he keeps on getting into similar positions he may well increase his tally dramatically this time round.
Marcus Rashford: 20/1
The first Manchester United player in the betting is Marcus Rashford. On his return from the World Cup, Rashford went on a stunning run scoring 10 goals in 10 league matches. The 25-year-old finished the season with 17 in total and is chalked up at 20/1 with several trusted betting sites to be crowned top scorer this season.
Trio at 33/1
It is worth remembering that most bookmakers are paying four places each-way in this market and we then have a trio of players at 33/1. The first of those is Ollie Watkins who flourished under Unai Emery with 15 league goals in total including a run of 11 in 12 games at the start of the year.
Alexander Isak is another player who could improve on his tally from last term. The Newcastle striker scored 10 goals, but only started 17 matches and can also be backed at 33/1.
It may be a few weeks before we see Manchester United’s new signing Rasmus Hojlund. The former Atlanta man is suffering from a back injury and it may be worth waiting another week if wanting to back him with the current 33/1 a price that may drift in the coming days.
