Olympiacos vs. West Ham Betting Tips: Two anytime goalscorer picks for Europa League meeting

West Ham are one of five British teams in European action this Thursday, making the trip to Greece to face off with Olympiacos at 5:45pm in the Europa League.
A win over The Hammers on Thursday would certainly make things interesting in the group standings. Olympiacos remain winless in this season's competition, drawing with Backa Topola last time out after a 3-2 defeat by Freiburg on match day 1. Domestically, Diego Martinez has his team top of the Greek Super League, three points clear of AEK Athens without a single defeat on their record.
David Moyes and his West Ham side can move to within the brink of qualification by securing three points in Greece. First they steered through a 3-1 home win over Backa Topola after going a goal behind early into the second half before then navigating a tricky away win in Freiburg. The East London outfit will be keen to return to winning ways following a 2-2 draw with Newcastle and 4-1 demolition at the hands of Aston Villa last Sunday.
Olympiacos vs West Ham Tips
West Ham were far from their usual selves in the 4-1 defeat at Villa Park last weekend, however, one man who continued to leave his mark was Jarrod Bowen. The 26-year-old added another goal to his record, putting him on six for the season.
Bowen has already levelled last season's league tally with that deflected effort in Birmingham, and finding the net frequently in the Premier League is only going to bode well for his Europa League exploits.
The Hammers' winger produced five goals in last term's Europa Conference League triumph, etching himself into West Ham folklore with the winning goal in Prague that helped his club lift their first major trophy for over 40 years and their first European glory since 1965.
Despite not finding the net in Freiburg - his only European outing this term after missing the home match with Backa through injury - Bowen did contribute an assist for his team and let off four shots across 90 minutes. Given his fine form this season we're happy to side with Bowen to make it four goals from his last six with another strike in Greece.
Both teams have a variety of different players who could pop up with a goal, but the man we're choosing to provide one for the home side is Premier League loanee Daniel Podence.
The 28-year-old was shipped out by parent club Wolves, returning to Olympiacos where he spent two seasons between 2018-2020. During that time he netted eight goals in 42 appearances, which is much more in tune with the 23/5 being offered for him to score against West Ham - only he's proving more clinical during this second spell.
Podence has four goals in seven appearances - three in the Greek Super League and one in Olympiacos' 2-2 draw with Backa Topola in this tournament at the beginning of the month.
There is always the quality differential to consider, however, for a European pedigree attacker who finds himself in fine form with a team who boast a solid home record, we're willing to take SpreadEx on with their generous pricing.
