Norwich v Leeds: Three plays from Carrow Road In A Huge Six Pointer

Super Sunday sees Norwich welcome Leeds to Carrow Road live on Sky Sports. A game which already looks like a 6 pointer with 2 relegation candidates knowing a win could kick start their season.
The Canaries are currently rock bottom of the Premier league and are still without a win heading into game week 10 on 2 points. Leeds on the other hand occupy 17th place with 7 points from their opening 9 games, maybe a case of second season syndrome for Bielsa’s side.
Norwich vs Leeds Tips:
- Rodrigo over 2.5 Shots @11/10 with Bet365
- Lees-Melou to be carded @11/2 with Bet365
- Brandon Williams and Lees-Melou to be carded @25/1 with Bet365
Norwich’s 7-0 defeat vs Chelsea means they currently hold the record for the worst goal difference at this stage of a Premier League season, a staggering -21 after just 9 games. Leeds will see this as the perfect opportunity to bounce back following their 2-0 cup defeat to Arsenal midweek.
With Bamford still out Bielsa will most likely opt for Rodrigo to lead the line once again. He scored in Leeds’ last Premier League outing, albeit a last minute penalty to earn a point vs Wolves.
He has managed over 2.5 shots in 3 of his previous 4 games where he has managed 90 minutes, the one where he failed to hit 3 shots he ended on 2. When you consider the opposition here I think odds against is a great price.
Leeds average the 7th most shots in the league per game, but face a defence conceding 16.1 SPG, the second highest in the league.
You’d expect Leeds to attack this game like they do in most, so I’ll be backing their striker for 3 or more shots vs an awful Norwich defence as my main play for this game.
With 4 cards in his 7 previous Norwich games, It’s not a surprise to see the French midfielder top the charts for most cards since he has joined the Canaries. He’s always had a decent card record but this looks to have increased since playing in England, definitely not helped by Norwich’s poor start.
He averages the most tackles per game for Norwich, and is averaging 1.6 fouls per game. Raphinha is likely to return for Leeds so I would expect these two to cross paths at some point, which could result in yet another card for the Norwich midfielder. 11/2 Is a standout price with him as short as 3/1 elsewhere.
For the longshot, I’m going for a card double and pairing up Lees-Melou with card heavy Brandon Williams.
Booked on both his previous 2 starts for Norwich, the inexperienced defender should be up against Raphinha if he is to start Sunday afternoon. He draws 1.5 fouls per game and is a tricky customer for any opposing full back.
Anthony Taylor is the referee for this fixture. He’s averaging 3.5 cards per game in the Premier League this season, but has gave 5 yellows in 2 of his last 3 games, so will dish them out where necessary.
