Next Sheffield Wednesday Manager Odds: Nathan Jones, Danny Rohl and Neil Warnock early contenders

Sheffield Wednesday are looking for their third different manager of 2023 after the club sacked Xisco Munoz following their winless return to the Championship.
The former Watford boss picked up just two points from a possible 30, a return which leaves the troubled Owls rock-bottom of the table and seven points adrift of safety.
Below we look at who the club could turn to next...
Wednesday have named Under-21s boss Neil Thompson (16/1) as caretaker for Saturday's home game against Huddersfield. The 59-year-old previously oversaw the first team for 13 matches - he won six and lost seven - between the spells of Tony Pulis and Darren Moore during the 2020/21 season.
it seems highly unlikely that Thompson will be handed the full-time job, however, it's worth noting that should he oversee 10 games - as was the case last time - it will count as a winning bet in this market.
With the international break coming up, Wednesday will no doubt be looking to bring in an external manager, with a number of familiar faces emerging as potential contenders in the betting.
One of those is former Blades boss Neil Warnock who is seeking another opportunity in the dugout following his surprise departure from Huddersfield last month.
“I’m not retiring," he said at the time.
"I’ve seen some people say I’m leaving down to my health but I’ve not felt this good in years.
"If anything this job has made me want to carry on and I’m not going out to pasture just yet.”
The veteran boss is a master of rejuvenating and rescuing down-and-out-teams, which he showcased yet again last season when he saved the Terriers from the drop out of the Championship.
It's a move that could divide fans due to his previous spell at Sheffield United, but if that can be looked past, Warnock could prove to be the ideal appointment.
The manager who prevented Man City from winning the quadruple last season, Nathan Jones, features towards the top of the betting.
The marmite manager endured torrid spells at Southampton and Stoke, but flourished on two occasions at Luton.
The Welshman has been out-of-work since February and is now reportedly open to the possibility of returning to the touchline with the Owls, according to The Star.
Other unemployed managers with Championship experience include Dean Smith, Mark Warburton, Sabri Lamouchi, Steve Cotterill, Leam Richardson, Paul Ince, and former Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal, who twice led the club into the play-offs.
The Portuguese coach would go on to oversee the likes of Swansea, Rio Ave, Braga, Al Wahda, and most recently Celta Vigo, with whom he left in June.
One name worth keeping an eye on is Danny Rohl - hotly linked with the Owls in the summer - who can currently be backed at 4/1 in the betting market.
The talented young German coach has yet to manage outright but has built up an impressive resume as an assistant manager with the German national team, Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, and Southampton.
