Newcastle vs Norwich Odds: 14/1 longshot stands out as we are expecting goals galore
Our resident tipster @Wizard_Season takes a look at this crucial fixture from the relegation zone as Newcastle host Norwich . He gives his tips and best bets for the most popular markets.
Newcastle United host Norwich City in this all important, bottom of the league Premier League clash at St James’ Park in a game that is broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video (7.30pm ko). The hosts sit rock bottom with 6 points and are still winless after 13 games. This is basically a must win for them as they come up against 2nd from bottom Norwich City. After a poor start to the season and a change of managers, the visitors have picked up form and are now unbeaten in their last 3 league games including impressive wins against Brentford and Southampton. New manager Dean Smith said there is a growing belief and confidence among the players and they are certainly up for the challenge.
This is a huge game for both these sides and three points for any of these teams at this stage would be massive. Manager Eddie Howe will be in the dug-out for his first home game of the season after missing the Brentford game due to Covid. He has mentioned in his press conference that they need to repay the fans soon and I think he will definitely target this game for Newcastle’s first win of the season. History also favours them as they are unbeaten against Norwich in their last ten home meetings, with the last defeat coming in 1988. We have a mouth watering and hugely significant clash to look forward to and I have it covered for you with 3 of my best betting angles included in the preview below.

Newcastle possible starting lineup:
Dubravka; Krafth, Schar, Clark, Lewis; Almiron, Hayden, Shelvey; Saint-Maximin; Wilson, Joelinton
Norwich United possible starting lineup:

Newcastle United have seen both teams to score in 10 of their 13 Premier League games so far (77%). This bet has also landed in 5 of their 6 home games so far this season. They have been scoring and conceding for fun so far this season, especially at home. Considering they have two important absences in defence in the form of Lascelles and Matt Ritchie, I think Norwich can also get on the score sheet. Both teams will be going for the win here and we can definitely expect an entertaining game. I can definitely see both teams scoring here and 10/13 is a decent price for a 1pt stake so I am happy to have that as our main bet.
Max Aarons will have a huge task of battling against the pacy Saint-Maximin who is one of the most fouled players in the Premier League. Max Aarons has already picked up three yellow cards in 13 appearances and 15/4 is a huge price for him to pick up his 4th booking here. I will be taking this as our 2nd bet of the game with a small 0.5pt stake.
Considering the need for both teams to win and the defensive absences, I think both teams to score in both halves is worth a bet as our longshot. This bet landed in Newcastle’s last home game against Brentford and I would not be surprised to see it land again here. Take this bet with a very small 0.25pt stake. Fingers crossed for a goal-fest tonight.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
