Newcastle vs. Everton Predictions: Best bets for Lampard's first league game as Toffees boss

Newcastle United welcome Frank Lampard’s Everton to St James’ Park Tuesday evening, with the game being shown live on BT Sport.
Newcastle got back to winning ways in their last outing, with a huge 1-0 away win against relegation threatened Leeds. Frank Lampard enjoyed his first game in the Everton dugout as they emerged 4-1 winners over Brentford in the FA Cup at the weekend. Just four points separate these two sides and a win would be massive for either one team. A loss for the toffees would see them dragged right into a fight for survival.
A number of new arrivals will be looking to feature on both sides Tuesday evening, and ultimately steer both their teams away from the drop. Everton secured the signatures of both Donny van de Beek and Dele Alli on deadline day - two players Lampard will be hoping he can get back to their best. On the other hand, no one was surprised to see Newcastle splash the cash this past window - signings of Dan Burn, Matt Targett and Kieran Trippier were made to bolster their defence, but it was Bruno Guimaraes who stole the headlines after his 50 million transfer from Lyon. Chris Wood also joined from Burnley which could prove a pivotal signing come the end of season.
Two new managers at the helm of both clubs makes this clash that all bit more interesting especially from a betting front. Howe Vs Lampard appeals a lot more than Bruce Vs Benitez, and hopefully we see an entertaining game as a result.
Newcastle vs Everton Tips
If Bruno Guimares does make his debut here, this looks a great price for the Brazilian midfielder to make three or more tackles at an appealing 17/20 with William Hill.
The former Lyon man ranked 14th for most tackles per game in Ligue 1 this season before his departure, with an average of over 2.4 tackles per game across his last two seasons. He topped Lyon charts for tackles and managed seven in his last game for the club. If we can see similar numbers in the Premier league then this price will always be too good to turn down.
Should he start here, the former Tottenham man will be eager to impress and has never been shy of a pop at goal. He still manages a career average of 1.8 shots per game during his time with England/Spurs, despite having many sub appearances in recent times. Dele Alli statistically averages a shot on target every 105 minutes during his career since joining Tottenham so a value price nonetheless. I feel the added value comes with what I hope be a new lease of life under Lampard, against a Newcastle team sitting second from bottom in the Premier League.
7/1 and 45/1 are available for 2 and 3 on target if you fancy a bigger price. You can also cash out if he does not start the game.
Given the history of both of these managers and the nature of this game I am hoping that can sway goals and an entertaining match in our favour. It’s a tough one to call in the 1X2 market and the
bookies agree, so I’ve added in the corners for a bumper price, which should go close in an even affair.
Coleman completes the longshot and is priced at an attractive 4/1 for a booking as a single if you fancy that. I’m having it as part of this bet as he should face Saint-Maximan who draws the most fouls at Newcastle and has a reputation of getting opposing full backs cautioned.
Best of luck if you follow these bets, but more importantly stick to advised unit stakes which should help return a long term profit.
