Napoli vs Leicester Odds: Expect Goals and Fireworks in Naples Tonight

Napoli welcome Leicester to the Stadio Maradona Thursday evening, in a nail-biting final fixture in Group C of the Europa League. With just 2 points separating top from bottom in this group, it definitely doesn’t get more blockbuster than this.
Napoli vs Leicester Tips:
3rd place Napoli know a win is vital if they don’t want to rely on results elsewhere as they sit a point behind leaders Leicester. The away side will be hoping to avoid defeat as they know a point would secure progression into the next round.
This fixture has the potential to see it all – the two highest scorers in the group face off with it all to play for and if the reverse is anything to go off then we are in for a cracker. A game which ended 2-2, including 7 yellows and a red.
I was tempted by the price for a Napoli win here but their recent run of form alongside a heavy injury list has put me off. Instead I’ll be heading to the corner market and backing Napoli to beat Leicester in the corner count by at least 2 or more.
Napoli know a win here would mean they qualify for the next round and leapfrog Leicester in the process. With a draw suiting Leicester I can see Napoli piling on the pressure and racking up the corners in the process. On top of this, they dominated the reverse fixture in terms of shots and corners, with this bet landing with a Scoreline of 8-2 in favour of the Italians.
This is a standout price with it as short as 5/2 elsewhere, and the polish midfielder is a man bang in form.
Zielinski has 4 goals in his last 6 Serie A games and is putting up some great shot numbers. He’s managed 2+ shots in 5/6 during this period, hitting 4+ once. Napoli are to be without Lorenzo Insigne and Victor Osimhen so there will be added impetus on Zielinski to produce.
For the longshot I’m going big just incase we get the type of game I feel could be on the cards. I am expecting another goal fest here and this stage of the group always sees the card averages increase with so much on the line.
I fancy Di Lorenzo for a booking – he was booked 11 times last season in the league, and has been carded in 2 of his 5 Europa League games. He should directly oppose Harvey barnes here who is notoriously knows for getting full backs cautioned. As for Ndidi, he has been booked in 2 of his 3 Europa league games, and could struggle to escape the book if the game opens up.
I’m backing two 34 year old veterans to get on the scoresheet here. Vardy only played 26 minutes vs Villa on the weekend amidst a busy schedule, so should get the nod to regain his place in the side. Mertens has been in good form recently, 5 goals in 5 games suggests he will keep his place leading the line in place of injured Osimhen. He’s 23/10 on Betfair for AGS and that looks a great price.
Combining these 4 plays gives us whopping 86/1 longshot for some added interest Thursday evening.
