Marseille vs. Brighton Betting Tips: Back Over 3 goals in Europa League clash

Brighton travel to France to take on Marseille in the Europa League on Thursday. After scouring the betting markets we’ve picked out two tips we like the look of and have made a case for those below.
After the departure of head coach Marcelino, Jacques Abardonado was placed in charge of Marseille on an interim basis, just one day before their Europa League campaign began. The French side played-out a thrilling 3-3 draw in Amsterdam against Ajax on Matchday 1 thanks to a brace from Pierre-emerick Aubameyang.
Gennaro Gattuso has now been drafted in as the new manager of the club and his side can be backed at 15/8 with most betting sites to collect three points in front of their own fans.
Brighton were turned over 3-2 on home soil by AEK Athens two weeks ago, after being priced at just 2/9 to get the win in the match result market. Since then they have managed a 3-1 home win over Bournemouth, before back-to-back defeats against Chelsea in the League Cup (1-0), and more alarming in the 6-1 thrashing by Aston Villa on Saturday. Roberto De Zerbi’s side are chalked up as the 13/10 favourites to get back to winning way here.
Marseille vs Brighton Tips
As Brighton adjust to playing twice in a week while traveling around Europe I don’t think it is wise to be getting behind them here in the match result market, and despite it seeming like a somewhat obvious play. I’m backing goals, and plenty of them.
I’ve sided with both teams scoring with Over 3 goals in the match priced at 6/4 with bet365. The Seagulls have conceded in every Premier League fixture so far this season and have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine matches across all competitions since the start of the campaign.
De Zerbi’s side are however the topscorers in England’s top-tier this term, with 19 goals from their first seven matches. Marseille’s last three matches have averaged 5 goals per game which includes the 3-3 draw with Ajax last time out in this format. Both teams are dangerous in the final third and have shown defensive weaknesses in recent weeks giving this game all the hallmarks of a high-scoring affair.
At 15/2 I’ve also had a little tickle on both Ansu Fati and Pierre-emerick Aubameyang scoring in the match. Fati grabbed his first goal for his new club on Saturday since his arrival on loan from Barcelona. It may have been in the 6-1 defeat to Villa, but Fati has made an immediate positive impact from the bench on numerous occasions now for Brighton and should be awarded with a start here.
After scoring two goals on his Europa League debut for Marseille, Aubameyang looks a little overpriced to find the net at around the 2/1 region. The former Arsenal man let off six shots in that game against Ajax and can find more joy against a defence that shipped six goals on Saturday.
