Mansfield vs. Port Vale Betting Tips: Follow The Stags into battle in Tuesday's League Cup tie

One of this pair will be served a trick while the other receives a treat when League Two high-fliers Mansfield Town welcome mid-table League One side Port Vale to Field Mill on Halloween in this League Cup fourth round tie.
In December, one of Mansfield or Port Vale will be enjoying an early Christmas gift when they participate in this season's League Cup quarter-finals with a yet-to-be announced opponent.
The Stags have navigated Grimsby Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Peterborough to be here, while The Valiants have beaten Fleetwood Town, Crewe Alexandra and Sutton United to get to this stage.
For Tuesday's tie, Town find themselves as the 11/10 favourites despite sitting in the league below. Vale pose a 13/5 shot to progress to the next round, while the draw can also be backed at 13/5 for those who believe 90 minutes won't be long enough to separate the two.
Mansfield vs Port Vale Tips
These two have had quite dramatically different league campaigns so far. Hosts Mansfield are right in the promotion mix after just missing out on the play-offs last term, remaining unbeaten after 15 league matches in which they've won seven. Port Vale will look to repeat last season's achievement of staying in the third tier, but have drawn or lost 10 of their 15 league fixtures, with only five teams having won fewer games in League One so far. At this juncture, with Town having drawn eight of their 15 League Two outings, opting for the win-draw double chance gives us an insurance policy for this half of the main bet.
As for BTTS, we believe the occasion and the resulting prospects will stave off any sign of defensive football in this fixture and see both teams throw caution to the wind. For Vale, this could be the highlight of another season's strugglers, while Mansfield of course have promotion on their mind but will also view this as a very good opportunity to tangle with one of the country's big boys in a quarter-final clash in December.
Mansfield have won four consecutive matches, starting out with a narrow 3-2 win over Doncaster Rovers in the Football League Trophy before slicing through Notts County, Harrogate Town and Walsall to an aggregate score of 10-3.
With only 12 places separating these two in the Football League standings, we reckon Nigel Clough's side can continue their momentum with a big victory on Tuesday evening. And one man who could help establish a fifth round tie with one of England's elite clubs is striker Davis Keillor-Dunn.
Don't let the 25-year-old's goalless streak of six games deter you: this selection is going to drop eventually! The forward has eight goals in 15 matches for the season, chipping in with two assists in his last three outings. But more importantly than that, he's been a busy customer in front of goal. Nobody has registered more attempts in League Two than Davis' tally of 66. He also boasts a league-high 26 efforts on target. He's let off three or more shots in 13 of his 15 league outings, managing seven efforts on target from 14 attempts in his last two matches alone. If Keillor-Dunn doesn't notch on Tuesday it certainly won't be for a lack of trying!
