Manchester United v Liverpool Tips: Bruno to register another assist against the Reds

Live on Sky Sports, Manchester United host Liverpool at Old Trafford this Sunday at 4.30pm. Ole’s men are sitting comfortable in the 2nd spot in the league table and are now undefeated in their last 13 PL games. They are coming off the back of a fantastic 6-2 win against Roma in the 1st leg of the Europa League semifinals. They could well and truly secure their 2nd spot with a win here.
Liverpool are coming into this game after drawing 3 consecutive games in all competitions. Their goalscoring issues continued last weekend when they missed some incredible chances and Newcastle punished them by scoring a stoppage-time equaliser. They are still in the hunt for the top 4 positions but are now 4pts behind Chelsea so they can not afford to drop any more points. Liverpool certainly have more to lose in this clash and Manchester United are not expected to grant them any favours. I have 3 bets as usual for this thrilling clash.
Team News:
Anthony Martial and Phil Jones are out for Manchester United. Matip, Kelleher, Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Henderson are out for Liverpool while Nathaniel Phillips and Curtis Jones are doubtful.
Manchester United possible starting lineup:
Henderson, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, Fred, Mctominay, Rashford, Fernandes, Pogba, Greenwood
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson, Trent, Fabinho, Kabak, Robertson, Thiago, Wijnaldum, Milner, Salah, Mane, Firmino
Manchester United have seen over 2.5 goals in 7 of their last 8 home games in the league. While they have been great upfront, their defence still looks shaky. Considering Liverpool absolutely have to win here and Manchester United will play without any pressure, I think we could see an entertaining game with plenty of goals. These two played each other in the FA Cup last time out and it ended 3-2 to United in a thriller so hoping for a similar sort of game here again. Take Over 2.5 goals @ 20/23 with a 1pt stake as our main bet.
Bruno Fernandes has been the signing of the season without a doubt. He has the most assists for Manchester United this season with 14 in all competitions and had 2 against Roma in the Europa League semifinal. We are getting behind him to get another against Liverpool @ 11/4 with a 0.5pt stake.
Greenwood has 6 goals in his last 8 appearances for Manchester United. Thiago is Liverpool’s 2nd most booked player and loves a cynical foul. Take the double at 18/1 for our longshot for this main event.
