Manchester City vs Sparta Prague Prediction, Odds and Lineups: Back Phil Foden to score in rare start

Manchester City host Sparta Prague in the Champions League tonight in a game that is expected to be much more straightforward than their last-gasp win over Premier League strugglers Wolves last weekend.
Read on for our best bets, which includes Phil Foden to fire in a rare start.
Manchester City vs Sparta Prague Predictions
Phil Foden was the best player in the Premier League last season and picked up the PFA Player of the Year award for his efforts. However, the England star has struggled for game time this season after returning to club football later than others due to the Euros.
He played a crucial role in City's win over Wolves on Saturday, providing the assist for John Stones' last-minute goal but in general has not been the same player he was last season.
Foden will need to improve on performances if he is to work his way back into this Manchester City starting lineup, and Wednesday might be his golden chance to do so. City will likely rest a few players this week, which should see Foden grab a starting spot. And with City expected to dominate this game, Foden should have plenty of chances to impress Pep Guardiola.
He scored his only goal of the season so far in the Champions League against Slovan Bratislava, and for my first tip, I am predicting that he will grab his second of the season on Wednesday night.

This match is expected to be a straightforward affair for Manchester City. While Sparta Prague has shown some resilience in the Champions League, securing a draw against Stuttgart and a victory over Salzburg, their domestic form tells a different story. They currently sit second in the Czech league, a level far below the quality of competition City faces regularly. Even if City opts to rotate their squad and field a second-string team, they are still vastly superior to Sparta.
Manchester City’s Champions League defensive record has been flawless so far, having yet to concede a single goal. Their most recent European outing saw them hammer Slovan Bratislava 4-0 away. With City now returning to their home ground, it's hard to call anything other than an easy victory for the Citizens. Sparta will have to pull off something special to avoid a heavy defeat.
For my second prediction, I am backing City to win by 3 or more goals.
