Manchester City vs Leeds Odds: Expect City dominance against a depleted Leeds

Live on Sky Sports, Manchester City host Leeds in the Premier League this Tuesday at the Etihad at 8pm. The hosts sit top of the league with 38 points after 16 games and come into this game full of confidence winning their last 6 premier league games in a row. They beat 10-men Wolves 1-0 at the weekend via a controversial Raheem Sterling penalty and will be looking for another 3 points here to continue their title charge. Bielsa’s men come into this huge clash in poor form. They have won just 1 out of their last 6 games in the league but they were impressive in their 3-2 loss to European Champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as their performance deserved at least a point. They are scoring goals though, having scored 4 in their last 2 premier league games so there will be confidence of going up to Manchester City and putting up a fight against them.
Man City vs Leeds Tips:
Sadly Leeds United will have a depleted squad for their visit to the defending English Champions with as many as 5 first team players likely to miss out. With the strength in depth that Manchester City have, it would be a major upset if the hosts didn’t claim all 3 points here. However, stranger things have happened in football and you can never be sure with predictions in the premier league. An intriguing clash awaits us and as usual, I have you covered with 3 of my best betting angles included in the preview below:
Team News:
Ferran Torres, Liam Delap, Cancelo & Mendy are out for Manchester City while Gundogan is doubtful.
Rodrigo, Kalvin Phillips, Patrick Bamford and Liam Cooper are out for Leeds while Robin Koch & Pascal Struijk are doubtful.
Manchester City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Rodri, Silva; Mahrez, Sterling, Foden
Leeds possible starting lineup: Meslier; Dallas, Ayling, Llorente, Firpo; Shackleton, Forshaw; Raphinha, Harrison, James; Roberts
Manchester City have kept a clean sheet in 6/8 home games in the league so far this season. They currently have the best defence in the league with just 9 goals conceded in 16 games. With Leeds missing key men Bamford & Rodrigo in attack, it is hard to see how they will get past this resolute City defence. Take City to win to nil @ 20/21 with a 1pt stake as our main bet.
Manchester City scored their winning goal against Wolves via a penalty at the weekend while Leeds gave away 2 penalties in the same game against Chelsea in a 3-2 loss. With Manchester City expected to dominate in and around the box and VAR awarding penalties for very questionable handballs recently, I think City to score a penalty is a bet worth taking @ 9/4 with a small 0.5pt stake.
Foden has 3 goals in 8 appearances for City in the league. He was on the bench at the weekend so will be expected to start here and I can see him getting on the scoresheet again. Rodri averages the most fouls & tackles in this Manchester City squad and is also their 2nd most booked player with 3 yellow cards to his name. He could pick up his 4th yellow card of the season against this high energy Leeds side. Combining these 2 selections gives us a cracking longshot @ 13/1 and I am happy to have a very small 0.25pt stake on that.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
