Man Utd vs. Man City Betting Tips: Best bets from Old Trafford including a 4/1 punt

Manchester United lock horns with noisy neighbours Manchester City in the 191st Manchester Derby this Sunday afternoon at the Old Trafford. Our man Tipster Wizard has provided us with his best bets for the game which include a 4/1 poke.

The hosts sit eighth in the Premier League table with 15 points, five behind Liverpool who sit in the final Champions League spot. They are on a run of three consecutive wins in all competitions and will go into this massive derby with confidence. 

As for Manchester City, they sit second in the league table with 21 points, just two points behind the league leaders Tottenham. After the disappointing 1-0 loss to Arsenal, Guardiola’s men bounced back by beating Brighton 2-1 in the league and eased to a 3-1 win over Young Boys in the Champions League on Wednesday. 

The only cause for concern for the visitors will be their recent league away form, as they have been beaten in their last two away league games, but with their main man in the middle Rodri back from suspension, they will be hoping to end that streak. The Red Devils managed to overcome City in this fixture last season but that is their only win in the last three seasons as the Citizens have won six of their last seven meetings against their rivals in all competitions.

Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo & Jadon Sancho are out for Manchester United while Casemiro, Aaron Wan-Bissaka & Luke Shaw are doubtful.

As for goals, Manchester United have conceded at least one goal in four of their five home games in the Premier League so far this season and City have scored in five consecutive head to head meetings against United. 

Finally, we have a card-happy referee in Paul Tierney in charge who is averaging 5.42 cards per game this season and with most of the cynical fouls expected to come in the second half, we should comfortably see at least two cards being dished out in the final 45 minutes.
