Man Utd vs. Galatasaray Betting Tips: Back Rasmus Hojlund to score at Old Trafford

Man Utd welcome Galatasaray to Old Trafford on Tuesday night as they look to secure their first Champions League victory after losing to Bayern Munich in their opening game.
Scott Thornton brings us his best bets for the action.
Erik Ten Hag’s side have made a disastrous start to the season. They have lost four of their seven league matches so far; making their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign.
The extensive injury list means Man Utd are down to barebones, particularly in defence: Lisandro Martinez is out for a lengthy period, while Aaron Wan Bissaka and Luke Shaw are also absent.
Hakim Ziyech is a doubt for the away side but otherwise they have a clean bill of health.
Man Utd vs. Galatasaray Tips
Man Utd were full of optimism coming into this campaign. They’d strengthened in key areas after a largely successful first season under Erik Ten Hag. However, the wheels have well and truly fallen off in the opening months of the season.
These sides haven’t met in a competitive match since 2012. Each side won one match 1-0 when they were drawn in the same Champions League group.
Galatasaray won the league last season, and they are a point ahead of United in the group after drawing with Copenhagen on match day one. Man Utd are strong favourites but Okan Buruk’s side will be hoping to take a memorable scalp when they face a Red Devils side that is low on confidence.
Marcus Rashford’s form so far this season has left a lot to be desired. He was one of the world’s most lethal attackers for long stretches of last season but he had been poor at the start of this campaign. United have lacked creativity and the goal scoring onus is likely to fall to the young Rasmus Hojlund.
The former Atalanta striker opened his Man Utd account at the Allianz Arena on match day one. He is still getting up to speed with the Premier League but his awareness around the penalty box and ability to sniff out goals should serve him well over the next few months.
Hojlund should have found the net on Saturday. He squandered two big chances as the team lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace but he doesn’t seem the type of player to let that dent his confidence.
Galatasaray have failed to win any of their last five matches where they have been priced between 6.00 and 9.00 on the 1x2 market. Despite the poor start, United should have the lion share of the ball and create more chances than their opponents.
For the longer odds bet in this one, I’m backing Hojlund to score and adding both teams to score in a United win.
Man Utd have kept just one clean sheet in their last five matches. The makeshift back line has had next to no opportunity to build chemistry and they’ve looked shaky in several matches. The trip to Bayern was a seven-goal thriller and I’m backing goals once again.
Ten Hag’s side need to respond after the loss against Crystal Palace so I’m expecting a fast start here.
