Man Utd vs. Brighton Betting Tips: Best bets from Old Trafford
Five Premier League matches kick-off at 3pm on Saturday afternoon with Manchester United taking on Brighton at Old Trafford. We’ve asked our man Anthony Eadson to provide us with two bets for the game which you can read more about below.
Manchester United's turbulent start to the season continued at the Emirates in their most recent league match, as they succumbed to a 3-1 loss despite initially taking the lead in the first half.
After an unexpected defeat at home to West Ham United, Brighton rebounded with a convincing 3-1 victory over Newcastle. No team has scored more goals in the league so far this season than Brighton who have netted on 12 occasions.
The home team currently occupy 11th position in the table, collecting six points, while Brighton come into this clash in 6th place, securing three victories out of four matches. Man United have struggled against Brighton in recent meetings with the Seagulls coming out victorious in their last three Premier League encounters.
Man Utd vs Brighton Tips
Manchester United have a long list of absentees for this clash which includes Mason Mount, Antony, Luke Shaw and Raphael Varane. One player we feel will be handed a start is Alejandro Garnacho and we are siding with him to register Over 0.5 shots on target.
The Argentine attacker only made 19 league appearances for his club last season in the Premier League but averaged an impressive 1.6 shots on target per 90 minutes. In his two starts so far this season he let off three shots against Spurs and four against Wolves. Betfair and Paddy Power have Garnacho priced at 2/5 to record a shot on target against Brighton and with 5/6 on show with bet365, we think that’s a stand-out price that we can get behind.
At 5/1 with Paddy Power, we have also put together a three-pronged Bet Builder consisting of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Kaoru Mitoma to give away 1+ fouls, as well as Casemiro to land 1+ shot on target.
The Man United right back has given away at least one foul in 9 of his 11 appearances, with totals this season of 3,2,1,0. Wan-Bissaka will be up against Kaoru Mitoma on Saturday and should have his hands full against this attacking Brighton side.
Brighton’s Japanese superstar Mitoma continues to impress on the pitch and when it comes to fouls, he has conceded at least one in seven of his last eight starts for Roberto de Zerbi’s side.
The final leg of this 5/1 punt is for Casemiro to have a shot on target. The former Real Madrid man has recorded nine shots across his four league matches this term, with four of those hitting the target.
Best of luck to those following and as always please gamble responsibly.
