Liverpool won this competition last year beating Chelsea on penalties and despite the bookmakers having them as underdogs for this game, they will have the edge due to match fitness and recent history.

Manchester City have failed to beat Liverpool in their last five head-to-head meetings, with their previous clash ending in a 1-0 win for Liverpool in the Premier League.
