Man City vs. FC Copenhagen Betting Tips: Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland to shine once again

Man City vs FC Copenhagen Odds
Buzzing off the back of their 6-3 hammering of Man Utd, unbeaten Man City return to Champions League action on Wednesday night looking to make it a hat-trick of wins so far in the competition. Pep Guardiola’s juggernaut have already scooped six points from matches against Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund, now they host Danish champions FC Copenhagen who arrive in England searching for their first win, perhaps more in hope than expectation.
Below we preview the clash, which is live on BT Sport 3 (8pm), and provide two tips…
Man City vs FC Copenhagen Tips
The big question in regards to Man City is whether Pep Guardiola looks to shake things up, given the jam-packed nature of October’s football schedule which sees both league and cup games come thick and fast.
Kalvin Phillips is out while Rodri, John Stones and Kyle Walker may not recover in time. We'll have to wait and see but I'm still expecting Guardiola to field his big guns in order to keep the momentum bubbling along nicely, although their game time will probably be managed ahead of Saturday's clash with Saints. Regardless, whatever team the Spaniard fields will be expected to claim the win, with the hosts a slim 1/14, while the visitors are a gigantic 45/1 to return to Denmark with the spoils. Alternatively, a draw can be backed at 14/1.
Finding a way to combat the severe threat of Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and co is the job of Copenhagen’s new young coach Jacob Neestrup, 34, who has only been in charge for a couple of weeks following the sacking of Jess Thorup last month. It’s a daunting task to say the least.
Erling Haaland’s outrageous goalscoring feats are rightly dominating the headlines at the moment, here at BettingOdds.com we can only marvel at what he’s doing. However, his exceptional exploits have somewhat overshadowed the incredible numbers Kevin de Bruyne has accumulated when it comes to assists this season.
Now, de Bruyne racking-up the assists is nothing new of course. Yet, this term he has sizzled in this category, amassing 10 assists in 10 games. Eight have already come in the Premier League, including two apiece in his last fixtures against Man Utd and Wolves, plus a further two in the Champions League against both Sevilla and Dortmund.
Still available at evens with bet365 - he’s odds-on elsewhere - I’ll be snapping the creative genius up to register another assist on Wednesday against Copenhagen, who leaked in three goals to Dortmund in their only other group stage away game this term.
For the BetBuilder with bet365, I’ve teamed up the aforementioned Kevin de Bruyne assist at evens with goal-machine Erling Haaland scoring a header, which looks a big price at 13/2, to form an 11/1 double.
Haaland has now scored in all but one of his 10 Premier League and Champions League games for Man City, bagging 17 goals including three hat-tricks. He already has three Champions League goals on the board, and 26 in 21 games in the competition when you include his goals for Dortmund and RB Salzburg.
As a result he’s as short as 1/5 to score and just 4/1 to score another hat-trick; smaller odds than any Copenhagen player in the anytime market!
As we know, he’s capable of scoring goals with every part of his body, but it’s the 13/2 for a headed goal - this same bet is just 29/10 elsewhere - that I think offers some real juice given that he's already bagged three goals with his noggin this season, including in Sunday's hat-trick against Man Utd.
