Man City vs Everton Tips: Expect plenty of chances for City
Live on Sky Sports, champions Manchester City host Everton in the Premier League this Sunday at the Etihad Stadium at 2pm. The hosts sit 3rd in the league table 6 points behind leaders Chelsea and a win here is vital to close the gap to 3 points. After suffering a shock 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace, Guardiola’s men responded well to beat rivals Manchester United 2-0 away from home and they will be hoping to see more of the same here against an Everton side that are out of form. The visitors have not won in their last 5 league games, losing 3 of them. They have an extremely poor record against Manchester City having lost their last 8 games in a row against them in all competitions.
Man City vs Everton Tips
Everton will be hoping to put up a fight and pull off a major upset here. The hosts will be without their main man Kevin De Bruyne who tested positive for Covid earlier this week as well as star man Jack Grealish. Phil Foden is also a major doubt for them so with all these key players missing, this could potentially be a tricky game for City and not as one sided as the odds suggest. An intriguing fixture is on the cards and as usual, I have you covered with my 3 best betting angles for this game included in the preview below:
Team News:
Jack Grealish, De Bruyne and Ferran Torres are out for Manchester City while Foden is doubtful.
Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes, Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies, Doucoure, Holgate and Sigurdsson are out for Everton.
Everton possible starting lineup:
Pickford; Coleman, Godfrey, Keane, Digne; Townsend, Allan, Delph, Iwobi; Gray; Richarlison
Manchester City possible starting lineup:
Ederson; Walker, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo; Bernardo, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling
Rodri is averaging 2 tackles per game in the Premier League so far this season. He had 3 tackles in his last meeting against Everton and I think evens is a great price for him to get 2 tackles here. I'm taking this as my 1pt bet.
I expect City to go hard at Everton despite their absences. The visitors are on a horrible run of form and will suffer here so betting on City to win both halves and get the most corners in each half seems a solid angle on special bets by Paddypower. Take that with a small 0.5pt stake as our 2nd pick for this game.
There's surprisingly no Ruben Dias in Man City's lineup, as Pep Guardiola looks to rest him ahead of the visit of PSG. Aymeric Laporte has popped up with goals in the box over his time at City, and will be the Blues' main threat from set pieces. He's 17/1 for two or more shots on target, and I will take that as my longshot for this game with a very small 0.25pt stake.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly
