Man City vs. Burnley Betting Tips: Back Tella in the shots market in FA Cup quarter-final

The first of the FA Cup quarter-finals is a really intriguing clash as runway Championship leaders head to Premier League champions Manchester City. Our betting expert Jimmy The Punt has provided us with his best bets for the game at The Etihad.
Laced with a bit of narrative, it pits Pep Guardiola against his former captain Vicent Kompany.
Still in the infancy of his managerial career, not many people anticipated Kompany would steer the turnaround he has at Turf Moor.
When they came down, problems were plentiful. An overhaul of an ageing squad combined with a complete change of style whilst gunning for an instant return to the top flight seemed like a tall order.
However, here we are in mid-March and the second tier title seems like a formality, with Burnley 13 points clear of second place and 19 clear of Middlesbrough in third.
That said the bookies are anticipating a Clarets humbling though with the visitors priced at 18/1 to pull off a shock at the Etihad.
That price is understandable, with the Citizens running riot in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Pep’s side put seven past RB Leipzig with Erling Haaland helping himself to five, a feat made even more impressive as he was hooked just after the hour mark.
This takes the frontman’s haul for the season up to 45 in all competitions. The bad news for Burnley is with the international break on the horizon, the Norwegian will probably lead the line here.
Man City vs Burnley Tips
Burnley’s shot line of six seems very low, even given the circumstances.
Kompany’s side have averaged 13.2 domestically this campaign, only failing to hit this line once in their 44 games in all competitions. The game in question was their EFL Cup second round clash with League One Shrewsbury. A game Kompany rang the changes for.
The Clarets have faced Premier League opposition on two occasions this season, Bournemouth and Manchester United, comfortably hitting this line in their trips to the south coast and Old Trafford, racking up 23 shots across the two games.
Obviously, Man City are more than capable of complete domination.
In fact, 36% of their 42 opponents this season have failed to have at least six efforts. Chelsea only had three attempts and Crystal Palace and Everton could only muster two.
Given the occasion, I think this line is worth taking on here though.
Sticking along similar lines, Nethan Tella’s line of two looks a big price.
The winger has found the net 17 times this season and tops his sides charts for shots per game (2).
He has hit this line in 22 of his 29 starts this season, including each of his last nine starts, over which time he has had 27 shots.
Best of luck if you are backing any of these selections and please remember to gamble responsibly.
