Chelsea vs Malmo Tips: Get Behind another clean sheet for the Blues

Chelsea comfortably dispatched Malmo a couple of weeks ago when the sides met and the Swedes will be looking to put up a better fight this time round as they welcome Tuchel’s side.
Chelsea have started the season in fine form and find themselves at the summit of the Premier League table. The team has gone from strength to strength since Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard, and you would expect them to dominate proceedings here, priced at just 1/6 for the win.
Malmo have lost their three Champions League games with an aggregate scoreline of 11-0 so far this season, so it’s difficult to envisage anything other than a routine win for the visitors on Tuesday.
Malmo vs Chelsea Tips
We took this exact bet when the sides met recently, and nothing has changed since then to put me off backing this at a higher price now that Chelsea are away from home. The Blues have scored 11 and conceded one in the three matches in all competitions since that meeting. The only goal they conceded came in the League Cup against Southampton, where they rested key defenders such as Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva.
Chelsea are conceding just 0.5 goals per game in their last ten matches in all competitions. Tuchel’s men have conceded just 3 goals in their ten league matches so far this season and just the one goal in the Champions League when they lost to Juventus in Turin.
It is difficult to see how Malmo can cause the current Champions League holders problems here, given the gulf in quality that was evident in their 4-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea also cannot afford to take the game lightly, as they currently sit 3 points behind Juventus in the group and they are set to host the Italians later this month.
This bet landed with ease in the last meeting, but that’s not the only reason it looks appealing. At Stamford Bridge, Malmo picked up 3 yellow cards and their own fans urging them on should see them show some bite in the tackle. Chelsea also won a total of seven corners on their way to finding the net on four occasions.
Chelsea have averaged just under seven corners per game in their last five matches where they have been similarly priced to win. In the last four matches, teams that have faced Tuchel’s side have picked up three yellow cards also (including the meeting with Malmo).
As previously discussed, I’m not holding out much hope for Malmo here and the stats suggest that Chelsea should win a few corners as well as win comfortably. This bet also landed in the last meeting between the sides, with Chelsea having 4 corners in the first half and 3 in the second. They also found the net 2 times in each half.
