Liverpool vs. West Ham Predictions: Offsides on the menu in the late kick-off

Live on Sky Sports, Liverpool host West Ham in this all important Premier league clash at Anfield this Saturday at 5.30pm. The hosts come into this game in incredible form going unbeaten in their last 14 games in all competitions. They are extremely hard to beat here, having won their last eight consecutive premier league games at Anfield. They were crowned the Carabao Cup champions last Sunday and then went on to qualify for the FA Cup quarter finals by beating Norwich in midweek.
Liverpool vs West Ham Tips
As far as the title race is concerned, Liverpool still have it in their hands. They are six points off Manchester City with a game in hand and a direct clash with City still to come and they also boast a better goal difference than their rivals. Every game from now until the end of the season must be treated like a final if Liverpool are to catch the Citizens. The visitors certainly won’t be pushovers and this is a crucial game in their race for a Top 4 place as well. They beat Liverpool 3-2 back at the London Stadium but come into this game in mixed form having won two, drawn three and lost one of their last six games in all competitions. Their last visit to Anfield ended in a 2-1 defeat for the Hammers through a late Jota winner and another entertaining game full of goals could be on the cards again.
A potentially high scoring premier league clash awaits us and as usual I have you covered with my 2 best betting angles for this game included in the preview below:
Team News:
Firmino, Thiago & Matip are out for Liverpool while Keita & Curtis Jones are doubtful.
Masuaku, Coufal, Ogbonna & Yarmolenko are out for West Ham while Tomas Soucek is doubtful.
Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Elliott, Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Mane, Diaz
West Ham possible starting lineup: Fabianski; Johnson, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek; Bowen, Lanzini, Fornals; Antonio
I am not going to attempt to fix something that is not broken. If you have been following my previews on Liverpool recently, you must have noticed that we have been backing Liverpool to catch teams offside successfully over the past few weeks. They have had a staggering 18 offsides given against them in their last 3 premier league games and I see that trend continuing here against West Ham. As for the goals, Liverpool have scored in every single home game so far this season in the premier league so this part of the bet builder should basically be a banker. Combining these two selections gives us a solid bet builder @ 4/5 and I am happy to stake two points on that.
Along the same lines of my first pick, I will be backing West Ham to get the higher line of over 4.5 offsides. Liverpool’s last 3/3 opponents in the premier league have been caught offside 5 or more times and I think it is worth backing as part of our longshot. For the second part of my double, I am backing Declan Rice to get at-least 3 tackles. He is averaging the most tackles (2.4) in this West Ham side and managed to get 5 in the reverse leg. He is the visitors’ main man in the midfield and I expect him to be heavily involved in what is expected to be a tough ask for his side. Combining these 2 selections gives us a cracking longshot double at 13/2 that I am happy to stake a very small 0.25 points on.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
