Liverpool vs Chelsea Prediction, Odds and Lineups: Two Bet Builders for today's game
Liverpool and Chelsea clash at Anfield in a blockbuster Premier League clash this afternoon, live on Sky Sports at 4.30pm.
Our man Tipster Wizard has pieced together two Bet Builders for the match, which you can view below, including an 11/4 fancy.
Liverpool vs Chelsea Predictions
- Bet Builder 1 @ 3/4 - 1pt (Bet365) - Selections Below.
- Bet Builder 2 @ 11/4 - 0.25pt (Bet365) - Selections Below.
Liverpool have made a sensational start to the season as they sit top of the league table with 18 points from seven games, winning six and losing one.
Since the 1-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest, Arne Slot’s men have gone on a six game winning run, scoring 16 goals and conceding just three times.
For the visitors, it has also been an impressive start to the season as they sit in the Champions League spots with 14 points after seven games, winning four, drawing two and losing just once.
Having won all three games on the road, Chelsea have enjoyed playing away from home so far this season but this will be their toughest test so far; pulling off a result here could be a major statement in the race for the title as it would put them just one point behind the Reds.
However, Liverpool have been dominant in recent seasons against Chelsea, losing just once in their last nine head-to-head meetings at Anfield, and will look to extend that run to stay top of the pile.
A mouth-watering Sunday main event awaits us, and I have included my two best bets for the clash in the preview below:
Liverpool vs Chelsea Team News
Liverpool Starting Lineup
Kelleher, Van Dijk, Konate, Szoboszlai, Salah, Jones, Gakpo, Jota, Robertson, Gravenberch, Alexander-Arnold.
Chelsea starting Lineup
Sanchez, James, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Gusto, Caicedo, Lavia, Madueke, Palmer, Sancho, Jackson.
Bet Builder 1
- Moises Caicedo - Over 0.5 fouls committed
- Malo Gusto - Over 1.5 tackles
Moises Caicedo is averaging the most tackles (3.9) and fouls (1.9) per game for Chelsea so far this season. He loves to get stuck in and is an aggressive tackler. He has committed a foul in six of his seven Premier League games and he has a 100% record on this selection in the games he has played the full 90 minutes (6/6). He has played for Chelsea twice against Liverpool and committed three and two fouls respectively, getting booked in his last visit to Anfield.
Malo Gusto is averaging the second highest tackles (2.6) per game for Chelsea so far this season and will be up against Luis Diaz who loves to dribble and take on his man. Gusto has registered four tackles each in three of his last five starts for Chelsea in the league and the last time he came up against Liverpool in the League Cup final, he registered a massive seven tackles. In the league meeting at Anfield last season, he came on at halftime and still hit three three tackles.
Liverpool vs Chelsea Betting Offers
Bet Builder 2
- Moises Caicedo - Over 1.5 fouls committed
- Malo Gusto - Over 2.5 tackles
Moises Caicedo cleared the “Over 1.5 fouls” line in both his meetings against Liverpool last season and is averaging close to 1.9 fouls per game for Chelsea this season. This is one of Chelsea’s toughest games so far this season and I expect him to put in aggressive tackles and commit cynical fouls in the process.
As for Gusto, he also cleared the “Over 2.5 tackles” line in both his meetings against Liverpool last season, registering seven and three tackles each in his two appearances against them as he came up against the tricky Luis Diaz. Having hit four or more tackles in three of his five starts this season, he is fully capable of big tackling numbers and I expect more of the same from him here.
Combining these two selections gives us a cracking Bet Builder @ 11/4 and I will take that as our second bet for this massive Premier League fixture
