Liverpool vs Brentford Prediction and Betting Tips: Szoboszlai set to strike from range
The final match of gameweek 2 in the Premier League sees Brentford travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool. The game kicks-off at 4:30pm live on Sky Sports and Anthony Eadson has provided us with two tips he likes the look of.
Liverpool are just 2/7 to record a win against Brentford, a price which intriguingly is shorter than when the Reds last faced the Bees at home under Jurgen Klopp. The draw is available at 6/1, while a big away for the visitors is all the way out at 10/1.

Liverpool got their campaign off to a positive start last weekend as they came out 2-0 winners at Portman Road against newly promoted Ipswich. The scores remained level until the 60th minute when Diogo Jota found the net and I’m backing him to do so once again, at 6/5 in the anytime scorer market.
In my opinion Jota is the best finisher that Liverpool currently possess. The Portuguese front man scored in each of Liverpool’s league games against Brentford in the 2023/24 season and after that goal in the opening game, I fancy another here and I’m surprised to see him priced at odds-against.
For those looking for something at a bigger price, I’ve had a few quid on Dominik Szoboszlai to score from outside the area. Since the start of last season only Bruno Fernandes has let off more shots from outside the box since in the Premier League, with a massive 73% of Szoboszlai's attempts coming from distance.
The Hungarian may have only scored one league goal from outside the box last season, but with a further two in the League Cup and another in the Europa League, I think the 12/1 with Sky makes appeal considering the high volume of shots Liverpool are expected to let off.
