Liverpool v Crystal Palace Tips: Reds to dominate the Eagles
Live on Sky Sports, Liverpool host Crystal Palace in their final league game of the season this Sunday at 4pm. Liverpool are firmly in the race for top 4 after Allison’s injury time winner against West Brom and a professional display against Burnley. A win will almost surely be enough here for Liverpool to ensure they play Champions league football next season.
Crystal Palace come into this game with nothing to play for but will be eager to put up a fight after they were hammered in their previous outing against Liverpool which ended 7-0 in favour of Klopp’s men. A very important clash awaits us and I have 3 bets for you as usual.
Matip, Van Dijk, Gomez, Henderson, Kelleher, Origi, Kabak and Keita are out for Liverpool while Jota is doubtful. Sakho, Ferguson, Wickam, Mcarthur and Eze are out for Crystal Palace while Benteke, Mitchell and Scott Dann are doubtful.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson, Alexander Arnorld, Phillips, Williams, Robertson, Thiago, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Mane, Firmino, Salah
Crystal Palace possible starting lineup:
Guaita, Ward, Tomkins, Cahill, Aanholt, Kouyate, Millevojevic, Schlupp, Townsend, Ayew, Zaha
Liverpool v Crystal Palace Tips
Liverpool have won their last 4 league games and won both halves in 3 of those wins. Motivation will be a huge factor here and I expect Liverpool to come out aggressive from the first minute and score early. They beat them 7-0 last time out and even though I don’t expect that many goals this time, the home side side look value to win both halves here @ 11/10 so that will be my main bet for the game with a 1pt stake.
Phillips scored in his last game for Liverpool against Burnley from a corner and has had a total of 9 shots in his last 5 league games. He is consistently winning headers in the opposition box from corners and will be a threat again against Palace. For him to get a shot on target is 10/3 with Betfair and I will have a small 0.5pt stake on that.
Zaha is Palace’s 2nd most booked player and has seen a yellow card in his last 2/3 league games. Thiago is 1st for fouls per game for Liverpool and is also their 2nd most booked player. Salah has had 4 shots in his last 4 league games and Zaha is averaging 2 shots per game this season. Final day of the season so going for a huge longshot @ 150/1 with a very small 0.25pt stake.
