Liverpool vs. Leeds Predictions: Alexander-Arnold in the thick of it at Anfield

Liverpool vs Leeds Odds
Three rescheduled Premier League matches take place on Wednesday and we have previews for each of them. The focus here is at Anfield where Liverpool host Leeds in a match that has delivered plenty of entertainment since Bielsa guided the Yorkshire-based club back into the promised land.
This one has particular significance in different ways for either side. Spurs have helped make the title race interesting after a 3-2 win over City on Saturday. With just six points now separating themselves and Pep's men at the top, winning this game in-hand ahead of April's meeting at the Etihad is pivotal to any serious title challenge.
As for Leeds, they will be frantically looking over the shoulders given the tightness at the bottom of the table. One point from their last four matches is far from satisfactory and the Lilywhites will be desperate to make a statement on Merseyside.
Liverpool vs Leeds Tips
Leeds were involved in an absolute slug fest with Man Utd on Sunday. The horrendous conditions certainly had a large hand in the 70s-style grudge match where a total of nine players found themselves entered into the referee's book.
And although the storm will have passed by the time Wednesday's game rolls around, you can expect Leeds to approach it with the same kind of turbulence.
Given the events of Sunday's game, one man who could find himself in trouble once again is Pascal Struijk. He was one of six Leeds players to pick himself up a yellow card vs United, making it his fourth in the Premier League this season.
The 22-year-old is just shy of averaging a yellow card every four appearances for Bielsa's men in their 2021/22 Premier League campaign. What makes this pick even tastier is due to Robin Koch's absence in midfield which could lead to Struijk being deployed in the holding midfield role once again.
The Belgian moved further forward after Koch was substituted following a head injury and has provided ample cover in this area for Wednesday's visitors.
He's sure to have his work cut out for him against a rampant Liverpool who have it all to play for and for a man averaging 2.69 tackles per 90, he isn't afraid to get stuck in.
7/2 for a booking at Bet365 seems like good value when he is as short as 21/10 elsewhere.
Our second pick involves one of Liverpool's most important assets. Whenever something magic happens for the Reds, you can almost guarantee Trent Alexander-Arnold will have had a hand in it somehow.
TAA leads the way for assists across the entire English top flight with 10, one ahead of his fellow teammate Mohamed Salah.
His last one may have come four games now, but a player of his talent is always involved in creating something from nothing.
As far as Liverpool are concerned, none of the teams during this time will come to Anfield and play as openly as Leeds will on Wednesday. This should give Alexander-Arnold plenty of moments to create goalscoring opportunities for his teammates.
And this is also why I believe he stands a great chance of having a shot on target from outside the box, too. He's someone who when he isn't bombing up and down the flank, positions himself just outside the 18-yard box, ready to pick up any loose clearances.
In addition to this, the full back happens to possess a mean free-kick in him. This particular bet can be found under the player stats combo tab on Paddy Power's specials.
