Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace Betting Tips: Three tips for the final Premier League game of matchweek 2

This weekend's Premier League action concludes at Anfield as Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace at 20:00 on Monday.
It is early days yet but with Manchester City securing maximum points from their opening two fixtures, if Jurgen Klopp’s men drop points here they could fall five points behind their title rivals.
It has flown under the radar a bit but there is an injury crisis at Anfield. Klopp has six long term absences to contend with and Kostas Tsimikas and Naby Keita are doubts for the visits of Palace. Harvey Elliott will come into the XI for Thiago, who has been ruled out with calf strain.
Patrick Vieira may freshen things up in attack, rotating in Jean-Philippe Mateta for Odsonne Edouard and that would be his only change from their defeat to Arsenal.
Liverpool vs Crystal Palace Tips
One of Klopp’s most costly mistakes was never adequately replacing Georginio Wijnaldum. The two players that operate in his role on the left side of midfield- Thiago and Keita- are injury prone. Last campaign, Thaigo only managed to play in 45% of the Reds domestic minutes and Keita only featured in 34%, to put that into perspective, Wijnaldum played in 86% during his last full season at Liverpool.
These three players operate on the left hand side of the midfield three and play a crucial role defensively, sitting alongside Fabinho to provide extra security out of possession. Without them in the XI, games become chaotic.
With neither Thiago or Keita at LCM, Liverpool have played 15 games, dropping points in eight of them as their win percentage went from 91% to 45% and this bet clicked in all of those games.
Due to Liverpool's lack of options in midfield, I also think it is worth having a small play on Viera’s side to secure all three points at Anfield.
It is worth pointing out that the Eagles boast an impressive record against the top flights ‘big six’. Last campaign, they avoided defeat in half of their 12 games against the big boys, which included taking four points from title winners Manchester City.
At SBK’s price, the implied probability of the visitors winning is 5.7%, however, I think there is value in that because Liverpool are too short. Based on that 15 game sample last campaign, I would have the hosts much closer to 6/10.
Based on the above, I also want to tout the ambitious punt of a Palace result coupled with a Vicente Guaita card at 90/1 via Bet365’s ‘Bet Builder’.
I am sure if the Eagles have some sort of result to cling onto they will pull out all the stocks to ensure they head back down south with a share of the spoils.
Guaita has accumulated 21 cards over the course of his career, two of which coming in the last campaign which includes one in his side's win at the Etihad.
Best of luck if you are backing any of these selections and please remember to gamble responsibly.
