Liverpool vs. Bayern Munich Betting Tips: Best bets for Singapore friendly

Perennial Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will provide Liverpool with their toughest pre-season test so far when the pair meet at the Singapore National Stadium on Wednesday 2nd August at 12:30pm BST.
The Reds have opened their summer account going unbeaten in three and each hitting Karlsruher, Greuther Furth and most recently Leicester for four. More importantly, this break has allowed Jurgen Klopp to bolster his ranks, recruiting midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai to potentially put them back in contention during this forthcoming campaign.
Munich are two games deep into their pre-season preparations, narrowly losing to Manchester City before edging out Kawasaki in Japan. Thomas Tuchel, who was hired in March this year, will see a full training camp and extra time with his squad as the perfect opportunity to get Bayern Munich firing on all cylinders this term.
This clash is dividing opinion among the bookies, with Liverpool sitting at 15/8 for the victory and Bayern Munich presented at 6/4 to win. For those who fancy a draw, you can get around the 3/1 mark for such an outcome.
Liverpool vs Bayern Munich
When two elite teams face off, the first half of those matches can often be cagey affairs. Neither side wants to give their opponents an opportunity to gain an advantage and this largely results in prudent showings in the opening 45 minutes.
Even in a pre-season friendly when the shackles are off, these two will likely take the opportunity to feel each other out and experiment with different systems or personnel before cutting loose after the break.
In their current exhibition run, 12 of the 18 goals scored across Liverpool's three fixtures have come in the second half, with this period being the highest scoring half in two of those three.
Three of the four goals registered in Bayern Munich's two outings so far have also been netted after the break, providing us with plenty of inspiration to back the 10/11 on offer with Paddy Power and Betfair.
Liverpool have won two of their three 2023/24 warm ups, drawing 4-4 on the other occasion. And although none of those run outs have garnered success with this particular bet yet, Munich pose a far sterner test.
Given Bayern's pedigree, we should see a Liverpool team, in name and appearance, that is closer to the side that we're used to rather than the one who stumbled their way through the previous campaign.
Both of the German club's friendlies have finished under this goal line, and despite their strong line-up, they haven't yet looked like their former selves when taking to the field.
We see this encounter being a competitive, low scoring affair which Liverpool just edge.
