Leicester v Chelsea Tips: 55/1, 16/5 & 11/10 plays for Tuesday evening

Leicester City take on Chelsea at the King Power stadium on Tuesday evening, where the West-London side are unbeaten in 11 of their last 12 visits. We’ve got three football tips for the game, which kicks off at 8:15pm and can be seen live on Sky Sports Main Event.
Predicting lineups feels particularly tricky at this time of the year off the back of a hectic festive fixture schedule. Antonio Rudiger could continue at centre half for the visitors after a solid display in his last two matches. Tammy Abraham could be given the nod ahead of Oliver Giroud and Timo Werner, while Reece James could also come back into the side. N’Golo Kante has served his suspension but will not start due to injury.
Jamie Vardy came off against Southampton on Saturday and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping his star striker is fit enough to face Chelsea on Tuesday. Caglar Soyuncu and Ricardo Periera were both on the bench at the weekend and give Leicester plenty of options to rotate at the back.
Having a look at the prices from the bookmakers on the match result and Frank Lampard’s side 29/20 favourites to get the three points. The draw is available at 5/2 with a win for Leicester which would take them above Manchester United is around 29/10 with most firms.
James Maddison 1+ shot on target - 2.5pts @ 11/10 Betfair, Paddy Power
Antonio Rudiger 1+ shot on target - 1pt @ 16/5 Betfair, Paddy Power
Mount 1+ shot on target, Tielemans & Kovacic to be carded - 0.25pts @ 55/1 Paddy Power
Leicester are flying high in the Premier League once again despite having picked up four points less at this stage compared to last season. One player who’s been impressing of late is James Maddison and I’m backing him to have one or more shots on target against Chelsea which is priced at 11/10 with both Betfair and Paddy Power.
A player I often like to follow in the shots on target market, James Maddison is actually finding the target more this season than he was in the last campaign. This term Maddison has registered an average of 0.78 shots on target per 90 minutes, whereas last season he was averaging just 0.62. The 24-year-old has registered at least one shot on target in three of his last four starts. He’s also the free-kick taker for the Foxes and considering Sky Bet have this selection at 8/15 and Coral have it at 3/5, I’d certainly recommend taking the 11/10 from Betfair or Paddy Power.
As I mentioned above Antonio Rudiger could well continue at centre-back after starting the last two games for Chelsea. They have kept clean sheets in both of those games with assured performances from Rudiger, however it could be worth waiting until team news before taking this second selection or checking if you have a cash-out available in case Kurt Zouma starts instead.
The selection in question here is Antonio Rudiger to have one or more shots on target which is priced at 16/5 with both Betfair and Paddy Power. The central defender has registered five shots in his last three appearances, including two shots on target. Chelsea have looked a real threat at set-pieces this season with eight goals coming via that route. In this game last season Rudiger popped up with a brace, scoring his only two league goals of the campaign. Mason Mount’s delivery on corners has been very good of late and at 16/5 I’m willing to have a small play on Rudiger to land a shot on target.
At 55/1 with Paddy Power, I’ve also picked out a longshot for the game that consists of Mason Mount to have a shot on target, with both Youri Tielemans and Mateo Kovacic to be carded.
22-year-old Mason Mount hit the crossbar before finding the net in the 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday evening. Mount has openly spoken about how he needs to score more goals and with six shots attempted in his last two games, including two on target, I’m adding him into this Bet Builder at 10/11 as a single.
Youri Tielemans has been a regular offender this term when it comes to picking up cautions. The central midfielder has collected four yellow cards this season and I fancy him to get another one here. The Belgian has also been booked in the Nations League and Europa League in the first half of this season and I’m fancying him to collect another against Chelsea.
Mateo Kovacic should continue in the Chelsea midfield alongside Jorginho and Mason Mount due to the absence of N’Golo Kante. Last season Kovacic was one of the most prolific players for bookings with eight in just 31 games. I’m surprised to see he only has one booking in the league this campaign and he could well pick up another when in a battle with the tricky James Maddison.
That’s 11/10, 16/5 and 55/1 plays for Leicester v Chelsea. Let’s hope for an entertaining game and please always gamble responsibly.
