Leicester vs Chelsea Tips: Three bets including a 95/1 longshot
Domestic football returns on Saturday as Premier League leaders, Chelsea, travel to Leicester for a 12:30 kick off on BT Sport.
Brendan Rogers and his side are failing to hit the heights of last season, currently sitting in a disappointing 12th place and only registering two league wins in their last eight matches. No clean sheet in ten league matches doesn’t bode well for a side welcoming the league leaders who have found the net twenty-seven times already this season.
Points dropped last time out against a battling Burnley side who managed to hold Chelsea to a 1-1 draw. A few injuries still remain for Tuchel as Lukaku still remains unfit, along with Alonso, Kovacic and Werner all still doubtful to play a part. Havertz could take that lead role up top yet again in the hope of extending Chelsea's lead at the top of the league to six points, should they leave the Midlands with a victory.
Leicester vs Chelsea Tips
With huge emphasis on attacking full backs under Tuchel, Chelsea are regularly hitting high corner numbers. Both Reece James and Ben Chilwell are in incredible form, and it's hard to not see them causing Leicester huge problems down both flanks.
Chelsea registered 14 corners chasing the game against Burnley, hitting over 4.5 in eight of their last nine fixtures. Leicester also conceded 10 in the 1-1 draw with Leeds last Matchday and could find themselves on the back foot for long periods on Saturday afternoon.
With Lukaku still sidelined due to injury, the 22 year-old German looks set to start in that central striker role, making him great value to get on the score sheet at over 2/1.
His shot output greatly increases when in this role and has scored in three of his last six matches. Being that main central point in a side with the quality that Chelsea possess will almost guarantee him chances, not to mention facing a Leicester side that remain to keep a clean sheet in ten league matches.
Both of these English full-backs are in the form of their lives, relishing the freedom to attack in this back five system under Tuchel.
Ben Chilwell has netted three times in his last five Premier League matches and Reece James has also found the net three times across only his last three! Both have also been firing the shots and getting into great attacking positions, both to which I don’t see changing on Saturday against this leaky Leicester side.
This bet landed only three Matchdays ago against strugglers Norwich at just shy of 100/1; I wouldn’t put it past these two to repeat the feat.
