Leicester vs Brighton Prediction: Teams to cancel each other out in this mid-table clash

There’s nothing quite like an old school mid-table battle is there? Ninth vs 10th, not much to play for in the league other than pride itself, and perhaps wait for a good cup run. Leicester’s season can be summed up in their defeat to Tottenham. So much promise initially, and then at the last season something goes wrong, be that injuries or just plain rotten luck.
Leicester vs Brighton Tips:
Brighton, and Graham Potter, have gained plaudits throughout for their style of play, but have missed that real cutting edge that would potentially take them to the next level in the league. A win for Albion would take them above Wolves into eighth, whilst Leicester would stay in 10th, but have two games in hand on those above. As ever, we’ll look ahead to the game, and provide two tips to go with it.
First off, we’re starting with one of the Premier League’s most in-form players, James Maddison. Maddison comes into this game having scored five goals in his last seven league games, and six in his last eight in all competitions! This bet has landed in three of Maddison’s last five in the league, and he’s had 16 shots on target in his last 10 league games, hitting this line in six of those games. Brighton play an open, expansive game, and that leads to opportunities for the opponents. Albion have conceded three or more shots on target in four of their last five league encounters, and I expect Maddison as Leicester’s main threat to get some shots off.
Next up, this game just screams draw to me. Two teams stuck in the middle of the table, cancelling each other out, is all I can see happening. Brighton are the masters of the draw this season, with 11 of their 21 games ending in points shared, with no other team reaching double figures this season in that category. Leicester haven’t drawn a game since playing Southampton on December 1st, but with their crushing last second loss to Tottenham on the mind, they may look to secure one point, rather than losing all three. 12/5 seems a good price for the draw, and one I’d be happy to take on.
