Leeds and Cardiff face off at Elland Road in an FA Cup third round replay on Wednesday evening. We’ve got our in-house punting aficionado Anthony Eadson on hand to provide us with his best bets for the game.
Leeds left it late to come back from two goals down to equalise in the 93rd minute against Cardiff when the two sides met ten days ago. A fourth-round tie against Boreham Wood or Accrington Stanley awaits this game's winners, which will go to extra time and penalties if the sides cannot be split after 90 minutes.
In the last five renewals of the FA Cup Leeds have been eliminated in the third round, and although a cup run would be nice for the West Yorkshire faithful, Premier League survival is the main objective with the side currently sitting 14th in the league standings, just two points above the drop zone.
Cardiff’s form has also been poor of late and they are yet to win in seven games across all competitions since returning from the World Cup break. That elusive win almost came last weekend, but a 97th minute leveler from Will Keane of Wigan Athletic put an end to Mark Hudson’s reign in charge of the Bluebirds.
