League One Winner Odds 2023/2024: Prices released for third-tier glory

The lineup for the 2023/2024 League One season has been confirmed and the fixtures have been released!
With the next season coming up in early August, we’ve taken a look at the latest odds in the League One Winner market.
Derby County - 5/1
At the head of the market we have Derby County who have been chalked up as the 5/1 favourites to be crowned League One winners in 2023/2024.
The Rams amassed 76 points last term, which saw them finish just one point outside the play-offs. Before a ball was kicked last season Derby could be backed at 7/1 as the third favourites behind Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich, who were both promoted to The Championship.
Bolton Wanderers - 17/2
Next up we have Bolton Wanderers who finished fifth in the table last season and were beaten in the play-off semi-final by Barnsley.
Bookmakers go 17/2 that Ian Evatt’s side can improve on last season’s showing and finish top of the pile, with those odds implying a 10% chance of doing so.
Barnsley - 9/1
Barnsley agonisingly missed out on promotion after losing to Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday in the play-off final last season.
They are priced at 9/1 to bounce back by winning the third-tier, although they'll have to do it without influential manager Michael Duff who has jumped up a division to take charge of Swansea.
Peterborough - 10/1
Speaking of play-off heartbreak, next up we have Peterborough at 10/1.
After beating Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 in the first leg of their play-off semi-final, Posh will still be wondering how they did not make it to Wembley.
Jonson Clarke-Harris managed 27 league goals last term and keeping him at the club could be pivotal if they are to make a title charge.
Reading - 10/1
After a breach of the EFL’s profit and sustainability limits, Reading were given a points deduction last season and were relegated out of the second-tier down to League One.
The Royals have not participated at this level since 2002 and punters can get 10/1 for them to bounce back at the first attempt and finish as league winners.
Portsmouth - 10/1
Pompey did not taste defeat in any of their final 11 league matches last season, but that unbeaten run was not enough to seal a play-off spot, finishing six points adrift in eight.
This time round Portsmouth are quoted at 10/1 to be crowned champions, slightly shorter than the 14/1 offering that was available last season.
Others
Away from the sides at the head of the market, we then have Charlton (14/1) and Blackpool (16/1)
Oxford United come next at 20/1, with Wycombe slightly longer at 25/1. Lincoln City and Bristol Rovers round off the top half with the pair both on show at 40/1.
