Juventus vs. Inter Milan Predictions: 10/1 double makes appeal for the Coppa Italia Final

It’s the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday evening in the Stadio Olimpio as Juventus face Inter Milan. Here at BettingOdds we’ve previewed the game and provided you with our best bets for the match that can be seen live on Premier Sports 1.
This will be the fourth time this season that these two sides have faced each other. Inter took four points across the two league meetings after a 1-0 win in Turin in April, and a point on home soil back in October. The pair also met in the Supercoppa Italia final in February, where after the game finished 1-1 after 90 minutes, Inter went on to win thanks to a 121st minute goal from Alexis Sanchez.
After a 2-1 defeat to Genoa at the weekend it’s highly likely that Juventus will have to settle for fourth spot in Serie A this season. The Old Lady lifted this trophy on four consecutive occasions between 2015 and 2018 and they will be eager to add some silverware to the cabinet in what has been an underwhelming season.
Juventus are the current holders of the Coppa Italia and have tasted glory in this competition more than any other club, winning it on 14 occasions. Max Allegri looks set to go with Mattia Perin in goal, while Manuel Locatelli and Luca Pellegrini both returned to training last week after injury, however are only expected to make the bench. For Inter, Alessandro Bastoni is the only injury concern and will be assessed on the day of the game.
Juventus vs Inter Milan Tips
The first bet we are recommending for the Coppa Italia final is for Under 3.5 goals in the match along with Over 1.5 cards for each team. This is available at 4/5 with BetVictor, while other firms such as Betfair and bet365, take a more conservative approach at 4/6.
As mentioned above, these two sides have met three times already this season, and all three of those have seen under 3.5 goals feature. In fact, under 2.5 landed in all three of those with the third goal of the Supercoppa Italia coming in extra-time. Both Simeone Inzaghi and Max Allegri can be fairly risk-averse coaches at times and we are expecting a tight affair here, that may be decided by one goal. Looking back in recent history, 11 of the last 14 Coppa Italia finals have seen Under 3.5 goals and as well as fancying a low scoring affair, we also like the look of both teams to receive Over 1.5 cards.
Last year’s final featured six yellows and a red card with both De Ligt and Buffon being booked for Juventus. Both sides will be desperate to lift this trophy and we can see the card-count racking up, especially considering Paolo Valeri will be the referee. In Serie A this season, the Italian official averages a healthy 5.00 yellows per game and has dished out two or more cards to each side in six of his last 12 domestic matches.
With this in mind we’ve also opted for a double on two players to be carded, in Juventus’ Juan Cuadrado and Inter Milan’s Hakan Calhanoglu. This is available at just north of 10/1 with Betfair and Paddy Power, compared to just 4/1 over at bet365.
Former Chelsea man Cuadrado has been shown 19 yellows and 1 red card across the last two season’s for Juventus in Serie A (62 appearances). This campaign he has received eight cautions in the league and a further two in the Champions League, being booked in both group games against Chelsea. No player for Juve has more cards than Cuadrado this season and after two in his last four starts, including against Inter last month, he looks primed for another in this final.
Paired with Cuadrado will be Turkish International Hakan Calhanoglu. Booked twice in three outings at last summer’s European Championships, we were surprised to see Calhanoglu priced at 3/1 for a card on Wednesday with both Paddy Power and Sky Bet. The midfielder has been shown 10 yellow cards in just 31 starts in Serie A this season and averages just over a foul a game.
10/1 on both Cuadrado and Calhanoglu being carded in a game of such magnitude looks a fair price considering both players have picked up more yellows for their club than any other this campaign. Please gamble responsibly.
