Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz Preview: Odds, Date, Start Time and How To Watch Boxing Fight

Jake Paul and Nate Diaz will throw down in what is set to be a huge event for combat sports.
"The Problem Child" looks to bounce back from his loss to Tommy Fury against the former UFC fighter. Paul has a history of defeating individuals from the mixed-martial arts organisation, boasting knockouts over former Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and Ultimate Fighting Championship contender Ben Askren.
Stockton-born Diaz's UFC swan song came last September in the form of a submission victory over Tony Ferguson as the rescheduled main event at UFC 279. Since then, the 38-year-old has remained inactive inside the cage, focusing all of his efforts on launching Real Fight Inc - the co-promotion responsible for hosting this bout alongside Paul's Most Valuable Promotions.

Who is on the Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz Undercard?
The only confirmed fight scheduled so far that evening is the co-main event where Puerto Rican Women's undisputed WBA-WBC-IBF-WBO Featherweight Champion Amanda Serrano defends all of the belts in a rematch against Heather Hardy.
This contest is four years removed from their first encounter where Serrano earned a unanimous decision victory over fellow Brooklyn-resident Hardy to claim the WBO women's featherweight strap.
A win in August for Serrano should see her seek a rematch with Katie Taylor in Taylor's home country of Ireland. The two fought in last year's first-ever women's headliner at Madison Square Garden and put on one of the biggest women's boxing fights ever.

What Have the Fighters Said?
The ever-confident Jake Paul, who has been accused of cherry picking opponents during his short boxing career so far, believes there is a clear path for him from here, telling ESPN, "I see a road map where I knock out Nate and then go to Conor McGregor."
"To do what Conor couldn't do - knock out Nate - and then that'll be the biggest fight in combat sports that could possibly be made."
Nate, on the other hand, provided a hilarious moment during their first press conference in May when informed by a reporter that Texas Combative Sports, who will be overseeing the fight, has a zero-tolerance policy for marijuana in competition.
"For real?" said Diaz, who lit up joints in many of his UFC conferences. "Man, let's go to California."
What Have Other Celebrities Said?
Just like during Jake Paul's previous bout with Tommy Fury, the biggest names in combat sports will have eyes on this bout.
Conor McGregor
Nate Diaz's long-time rival sat down with Ariel Helwani for Matchroom Boxing's promotion of the Katie Taylor-Chantelle Cameron fight in May.
"I fancy him for it to be honest," said Conor about his fierce competitor. "The other cat is a bit windy. He’s a donkey. The guy’s a donkey, the other cat. But a donkey has a kick as well. You just have to be worried about that.”
“I just see Nate… he’d be peppering him, he’d be in his face, and I just think it would be Nate. It will be Nate."
Eddie Hearn
The titanic British sports promoter, who is currently engaged in a defamation lawsuit with Paul, hopes Diaz wins, but suggests that his business adversary has the upper hand:
"If you’re asking me, Jake Paul beats him comfortably. I really like Nate Diaz and I hope he wins – mainly so he doesn’t put me to sleep on the concrete! But I think he gets stopped," Hearn told Matchroom Boxing's YouTube channel.
Dan Hardy
New PFL Europe head of fighter operations and former UFC welterweight contender Hardy believes Diaz possesses different characteristics to the other MMA fighters that Paul has faced:
"The difference with Nate is that he's tough, he's durable, he's not got a mindset that's going to break, like someone else might freeze up or just come into the fight with no mentality to win like Ben Askren did."
Speaking on the DAZN MMA show, Hardy also said, "I just feel like Nate is a hardened fighter, he's going to come and put pressure on Jake, and if he starts out with a good defence and lets Jake work early then Nate might be able to wear him down late."
