Harry Kane World Cup Specials Betting: Back Kane to provide an aerial threat
We are now just a matter of days away from the World Cup in Qatar. There are plenty of ways you can bet on the World Cup and as bookmakers release more markets in the run up to the tournament we are here to tell you about some we like.
Harry Kane may be the favourite in the Golden Boot Winner market but a few selections from specials markets have caught our attention. The Spurs striker needs just three goals to break Wayne Rooney’s record and become the all-time top scorer for the Three Lions, for which he is 8/11 to do so with both Betfair and Paddy Power.
These two firms also have markets relating to player shots on target and player goals and it’s those of the headed nature that we want to speak about.
Harry Kane Specials Tips
Goals
Harry Kane has been in superb form in the Premier League this season and if it were not for the goal-bot that is Erling Haaland, Kane’s record may have been spoken about more. It’s 11 goals in 14 appearances for the 29-year-old and if he carried on at that rate for the rest of the campaign he would better last season’s winning top-scorer tally by ten goals.

Five of Kane’s 11 goals this season have arrived via his head and it’s interesting to see that Paddy Power have priced him at 9/2 to score two headed goals in the tournament. Two of Kane’s four goals at last summer’s Euros were headed and we think this is a price that is reasonable based on his form in the air so far this season.
At 100/1 we also wouldn’t put punters off backing Kane to score 4 headed goals in Qatar. Of course this is a longshot that would require England racking up the goals and going deep into the tournament, but at the prices we think it’s worth some consideration.
Shots on Target
Tying in with our research around Kane’s aerial presence this season, it’s also interesting to see that 38.4% of his shots have come via his head in the Premier League this term. With this in mind, we’ve taken a lean towards Kane to have 4+ headed shots on target in the tournament at 9/1, and 6+ headed shots on target.
