Galatasaray vs. Copenhagen Betting Tips: Back Mauro Icardi to continue superb scoring streak

There are eight more Champions League matches on the cards on Wednesday night, including the Group A encounter between Galatasaray and Copenhagen in Turkey.

Given the group also contains Bayern Munich and Man Utd, it goes without saying that both teams will be looking to stamp an early three points on the board.

Galatasaray enjoyed a busy summer period, showing real intent with the acquisitions of striker Mauro Icardi, winger Wilfried Zaha, and defender Davinson Sánchez, as well as the likes of Hakim Ziyech and Tanguy Ndombele on loan.

The Turkish giants are so far undefeated in all competitions, carding eight wins and 10 draws across the league and Champions League qualifiers.

They've won their last eight games on the spin, scoring 12 in their last four, with bookmakers installing the hosts as the 6/10 favourites to register another triumph on Wednesday night.

I do, however, like the more appealing price of 9/5 with BoyleSports for Galatasaray to win to nil, which has landed in five of their matches already this season, including three of their five home games.

Visiting Copenhagen failed to win any of their six group stage matches last season, and didn't manage a single goal on the road: losing 5-0, and 3-0 twice. I don't expect this sequence to change at the intimidating Ali Sami Yen Stadium.

Mauro Icardi has rapidly emerged as an Istanbul icon.

The striker scored an impressive 23 goals in 26 matches on-loan from PSG last season, and has since added eight goals in eight matches after the move was made permanent in the summer.

Those eight goals have come in his last six matches - scoring in each - including two braces.

Icardi, who is on penalties, is odds-on with the majority of bookmakers to continue this stunning streak against Copenhagen, however, William Hill still have the 30-year-old available at even-money.
